Synopsis
Daughter of Ash and Night In the vampire-ruled kingdom of Varneth, where humans are little more than pawns in a deadly game of power, Aliana Everan has always been nothing—an unwanted daughter, a shadow in her father’s household, a stain upon his noble name. Born to a concubine and despised by her stepmother, she has spent her life enduring cruelty in silence. But when she is falsely accused of treason and sentenced to death, fate takes a dark turn. Instead of dying, she is bound by blood to the most feared man in the kingdom—Kaelith Veyne, the forsaken prince. The firstborn son of the vampire king, Kaelith should have been heir to the throne. But his mother was a witch—an unforgivable sin in Varneth. Branded as an outcast, he was cast aside in favor of his younger, purer brother. Yet, the magic in his veins makes him more powerful than any royal would dare to admit. Now, fate has tied them together—an unwanted human girl and a cursed prince. Thrown into the treacherous world of vampire politics, Aliana must learn to navigate a court that thrives on deception and bloodlust. As whispers of war stir in the shadows, she soon realizes that being Kaelith’s mate does not mean protection—it means becoming a target. And as enemies close in from all sides, she must answer one question: Is Kaelith her salvation… or her doom? Betrayal. Blood. Power. A love that could bring a kingdom to its knees. This is the story of a girl who was meant to die, and the prince who was never meant to rule.

Chapter 1 - Prologue:The Blood Stained Throne

Prologue: The Bloodstained Throne

Varneth was a kingdom built on ashes, war, and whispers of forbidden magic.

Once, long ago, it had been a land of harmony—where humans, vampires, and witches coexisted under a fragile truce. The great Blood Pact bound them together, ensuring peace through shared rule. The vampire monarchy governed, but witches acted as councilors, their magic guiding the realm, while humans thrived in prosperity.

But peace is an illusion easily shattered.

It began with a single act of betrayal.

One fateful night, a witch queen—one of the last of her kind—was accused of cursing the royal bloodline. A prophecy was whispered in the dark:

"A child born of blood and sorcery shall bring ruin to the throne."

Fear spread like wildfire. The King, Regnar the Crimson, declared magic a disease, a corruption that threatened the purity of his reign.

The purge began.

Witches were hunted, burned, or driven into hiding. Those who escaped fled beyond the borders, forced into exile. Their covens became nothing more than ghost stories, warnings told to children at night.

But their legacy did not die.

In secret, a concubine of the King—a witch in disguise—bore him a son.

A child of prophecy. A bastard. Kaelith.

To protect his throne, the King made a choice. The mother was executed, her body burned so that no trace of her magic remained.

Yet, the boy lived.

Kaelith was allowed to exist under one condition—he would never rise above his station. The world would remember him as nothing more than a forgotten son.

But fate does not forget.

The Queen, Elira, bore a second son, Vael, the golden heir. The legitimate prince. The perfect prince. The one destined to rule.

For years, the Kingdom of Varneth remained in fragile balance. Vampires ruled, humans served, and witches were nothing more than a shadow of the past.

But shadows do not disappear.

They grow.

And as whispers of a rebellion stir in the dark, another girl—born of shame and scorn—will soon change the fate of the kingdom.

A girl named Aliana.

A girl who does not yet know that her destiny is bound to the bloodstained throne.
