Chapter 1 - Farrel & Yue Family

In a village filled with flowers, there were two good friends, Farrel and Yue, both 15 years old. They were sitting under a shady tree, sheltering from the sunlight.

"Yue, what did your family cook today?"

Farrel asked Yue, who was pulling out weeds around her.

"Today, my mom and dad cooked chicken curry. Do you want to eat with us?"

Yue answered with a cheerful face.

Farrel nodded quickly.

Yue then grabbed Farrel's hand with both of her hands and walked while bending slightly.

"Come on, or it'll be gone soon," Yue invited.

Farrel looked at Yue with eyes that couldn't be described, as if someone was falling in love. They then ran, with Yue pulling Farrel's hand.

Step by step, with the gentle breeze, they admired the beauty of the two friends running towards the house.

Upon arriving at Yue's house, she opened the door, and the aroma of curry, carried by the wind, began to pass through the door and into their noses.

Saliva began to gather in their mouths, indicating that they were hungry for the deliciousness.

"Motherrrr!!"

Yue called out to her mom.

Her mom, who was in the kitchen, heard her daughter's voice calling.

"Yes, what is it, my child? I'm preparing lunch," she answered while placing plates on the dining table.

"I'm hungry, I want to eat now, Mom," Yue replied while pulling out a dining chair and sitting down.

Her hands gestured, calling for Farrel to sit beside her, but Farrel, being shy, just stood there and waited for her mom to come out from the kitchen.

Her mother, noticing their behavior, smiled slightly. She scooped rice from the rice cooker for two people, placing it on her daughter's plate and on the empty seat beside her.

"Farrel, come here. I has already served the rice. Come, eat with us," her mother called Farrel in a soft tone.

Farrel walked slowly towards the dining table and pulled something out from his worn-out pants—a small bundle tied with cloth. He unwrapped it, revealing something metallic or silver.

It was money. He handed 20 platinum coins to Yue's mom as a token of gratitude for feeding him.

Her mother looked at him and gently pushed his hand away. She crouched down, her ass figure noticeable, and her boob slightly revealed from her low-cut top.

Farrel felt embarrassed when she held his hand and accidentally revealed something precious.

"Just keep this money. I already considers you as my own child. If you're hungry, just come here, okay?"

Farrel nodded and sat down on the chair. They ate together, but his eyes kept stealing glances towards Yue's mother's chest. Because of his wandering eyes, Yue's mother started to notice.

She thought that since Farrel was an orphan, he kept looking at her. She didn't think anything strange and assumed it was just the gaze of a child towards a mother figure.

*Knock!! Knock!!*

The door sounded, and someone pushed it open. Standing there was a rather strong, well-built man with a beard—Yue's father also Lia's husband.

Yue, upon seeing her father, ran towards the door and hugged him tightly. Her father welcomed her and lifted her up.

"Wow, you guys are really eating without me," her father said while carrying Yue to the dining table. He suddenly wanted a kiss from Lia, but she rejected him and pushed his face away.

"The child is here, honey," Lia said, standing up and grabbing another plate from the kitchen to scoop rice for her husband.

Farrel, who had been quiet, smiled as he watched the happy family.

"Farrel, when did you get here? Hehehe, since you're already here, should we train like we always do after lunch?" Yue's father said, flexing his biceps at Farrel.

Farrel shook his head quickly, showing that he didn't want to train. It was like hell to him.

Yue's father didn't seem to mind and ate quickly, eager to start training. In less than five minutes, he finished his meal. He went over to Farrel, lifted him with one hand, and carried him outside.

Farrel's face was resigned, like a piece of laundry hanging on a clothesline.

He tossed Farrel into the weapon area beside the house, where various physical weapons were neatly arranged.

As usual, Farrel chose dual daggers. He liked using them because they were small and suited his slim build.

He looked at Yue's father, Maru, who picked up a large axe from the storage. Maru smiled—a hint that he wouldn't underestimate anyone.

Maru dragged the axe without lifting it, the sound of stone and metal scraping against each other. Suddenly, he swung it up onto his shoulder, creating sparks and leaving a black mark.

They left the area and headed to an open grassy field. The wind blew strongly as the two young men stood facing each other.

"Are you ready, Farrel, for our duel?" Maru asked, pulling something from his pocket—a pack of cigarettes. He took one out and lit it.

*Shhuuuush*—the chickens scattered as the cigarette smoke rose. That was the signal to get ready. The sparring would begin once Maru threw the cigarette.

As the last puff of smoke dissipated, Maru flicked the cigarette butt to the ground. He gripped his axe tightly, and both of them smiled before engaging each other.

They shifted their right legs, the sound of the wind whistling as they moved at speeds beyond human reaction. They clashed in the middle, Farrel's daggers and Maru's axe colliding, causing the grass around them to tear up from the force.

Both of them channeled their physical power into their hands, creating a push that sent both of them staggering backward.

"Not bad," Maru said, his excitement growing with a wide smile. "Should we go all out, Farrel?"

He unleashed his full strength, releasing a hot blood aura around him. The pressure from the aura caused the grass around him to be uprooted.

"Now I'm ready! Hahahaha!" Maru laughed, his energy surging.

Farrel looked at him, his mind racing as he thought for a moment. Then, he dropped his daggers to the ground and said,

"I surrender."

Maru was shocked and made an annoyed face.

"Hey, you damn kid! We were almost at the climax—don't end it like that! Nah, I'm gonna hit you right now!" Maru growled, raising his axe.

Farrel looked at him and gestured for Maru to look behind him.

Maru, with his usual arrogance, said, "What a cheap trick you got there, kid," ignoring Farrel's warning.

Suddenly, a woman's voice rang out.

"Honnnneyyyyy....."
