Zorvath approached the innkeeper,who greeted him with a warm smile."welcome traveler!,I'm grimbold the inkkeeper.what can I do for you"
Zorvath replied"I'd like a room for a week please".
Grimbold nodded his eyes twinkling."very well, that would be twenty gold for the week"
As grimbold spoke,a digital screen flickered to life Infront of zorvath, displaying his coin.

Grimbolds eyes widened in shock"what in the name of the ancients gods...?Your using an arcane glass ,but that would mean your one of them...the monarchs!"
Zorvath thought to himself,"how am I supposed to get coins out ?"suddenly,another screen lit up:

Grimbold stumbled backwards, his face pale
"Forgive me, your excellency.I knew not that I was in the presence of a monarch.please,accept my humblest apologies."
Zorvath was taken aback by the sudden change I'm Grimbolds behaviour. "Uh,it okay really. Just treat me like anyother guest."
Grimbold led zorvath to a cozy room on the second floor,with a comfortable bed and a small fireplace."This is our best room,I hope it meets your needs"
Zorvath smiled amused by the sudden change in Grimbolds behaviour ."it's fine seriously! you can treat me like any other guest.Oh and please can you send for some food am famished "
Grimbold know composed, nodded and bowed slightly ."of course, I'll have one of our maids spruce up something "
As Grimbold turned to leave zorvath say and waited for his dinner,the confrontation with the snake and the fact that he really hadn't had anything from dawn till dusk made his wait for food almost unbearable,as he was starting to loose his patient the door was swung open,and a young woman who appeared to be in her early twenties,entered the room with a tray of steaming hot food.Her long curly hair tumbled down her back,and her bright blue eyes sparkled in the dimly lit room.Her slender figure was accentuated by a fitted white apron,adorned with intricate lace trim.
She set the tray down on the table, her movement fluid and efficient"your dinner, sir",shae said her voice soft and melodious.
Zorvath gaze lingered on her taking her striking features.However as he looked into her eyes he noticed a flicker of unhappiness,a hint of saddness that seemed to linger beneath the surface.
"Thank you",zorvath said,his voice gentle "your elara I presume?"zorvath asked with his eyes fixed on the name tag on the top half of her apron.
The young woman nodded her smile faint,"yes,am...elara if you need anything just ring the bell"
Zorvath gaze lingered on Elara's downcast
expression,his brow furrowing with concern.
"What wrong?you don't seem happy",he said,his voice gentle.
Elara shrugged attempting to brush of her worries."it nothing sir. just a bit tired, that's all".
But zorvath eyes sparkled with kindness,and he leaned forward his voice persuasive."come now, Elara.You can trust me.I might be able to help but you won't know if you don't tell me."
Elara hesitated,unsure if she should confimd in this stranger.But something about zorvath cool demeanor put her at ease,and she found her selves pouring out her troubles.
"It's... it's the dark emperor's men"she said her voice barely above a whisper."They kidnapped my entire family-my parent, My little brother...They are demanding a random of over a thousand gold coins,or they'll... kill them"
Zorvath expression darkened,his jaw clenched with anger, although he didn't know who this dark emperor was or what they were capable of, but it was quite obvious that he diliked them."when's the random due ?"he asked,his voice law and urgent.
Elara's eyes welled up in tears."Tomorrow and have only managed to scrape of half the amount ,I don't know what I'll do...if you could help me, I,ll give you all the gold coins I don't care how much you want!"
"That won't be necessary ",zorvath said"I already get gold by killing enemies anyway",he concluded making sure he couldn't be heard by Elara.
Zorvath reached out his hand covering elara
"Don't worry, I'll help you and your family . we'll get them back that a promise",zorvath concluded as elara left his room still in tears.
Zorvath took a bite in his roasted beef and mushroom stew,savoring the flavours as he pondered his plan for the next day.Helping elara and her family had become his top priority .
He called out stats tree as a digital screen appeared before his eyes,a soft blue glow illuminated the room as he scrolled through his profile
