Chapter One: The Forsaken Omega

Celine Haven knelt beneath the silver glow of the full moon, her fragile frame trembling as she clutched her hands together in prayer. The cold wind howled through the dense forest, whipping through her long auburn hair, but she did not flinch. The pain inside her was far greater than the chill that bit at her skin.

For years, she had endured the whispers, the scornful glances, the shame of being an omega without a wolf. The rejection of not one, but two mates had shattered what little hope she had left.

"Moon Goddess, please..." Her voice wavered, tears streaming down her pale cheeks. "Give me a mate who will love me... or take my life."

A heavy silence settled over the forest. Then, the wind shifted, carrying the scent of something dark and ancient, something powerful. A force beyond her comprehension swept through her body, making her gasp.

At that moment, deep within the heart of a distant, foreboding castle, Alexander Cornivus—the cursed lycan—felt it.

His head snapped up, his golden eyes darkening as an unfamiliar sensation rushed through him. His beast stirred, chains rattling inside the prison of his soul. A name, soft and fleeting, echoed in his mind.

"Celine."

The Moon Goddess had answered.

But was this truly a gift? Or was fate playing a cruel game once again?
