A hushed voices of a diety rang in Sheehan's ear as he woke up to a translucent system screen in front of him...
[You have been linked to the System]
The system in this world helped those with dormant superpower awaken their full potential. It appeared during the time of chaos when the once peaceful and ordinary earth was overrun by dungeon monsters.
It was Strange for Sheehan to be chosen by the system like the other Meta humans. He was tested several time when he was very young and the results clearly stated that he didnt possess any dormant powers to ever be able to become a Meta Human.
Being chosen by the system gave Sheehan a hope to change his life, however he was disappointed soon when he saw his system window.
[Name- Sheehan Augustine]
[Dormant Power- None] [Class- Warrior]
[Strength- 4, Speed-5, Endurance- 5, Perception- 3, Mana- 0]
[Skills- None]
[Trait- Pure Human]
His stats were very low compared to even a regular human. It was also confirmed by the system that he didn't possess any dormant powers, this was very strange as despite not having any dormant power he was chosen by the system.
Even wierder was his trait, [Pure Human]. He had no idea what that meant, did it mean he was just a regular and weak human or something else. He moved his fingers on the system screen to view the description.
[Your body is not corrupted]
What did that mean? Sheehan thought to himself. In the end, he couldn't think of having an advantage from this trait.
Meta humans possessed power of mythical creatures such as werewolves, vampires or even dragons. Some even possessed a divine power that made them powerful compared to humans. On the other hand Sheehan was a pure human.

[The Tutorial Will Begin In 30 Seconds]
He prepared himself for the tutorial which everyone has to take just after being chosen by the system. He couldn't take anything from this world to the tutorial space.
Despite having no dormant power or overpowered trait. Sheehan readied himself for the challenge and accepted the tutorial of system.
As the timer ran out, A portal appeared in front of him and pulled him inside. It was not a pleasant experience as Sheehan found it difficult to overcome his sense of off-balance. The entire world span like he was caught in some type of whirlpool.
Blergh!
With everything drained from his stomach, Sheehan laid flat on the ground, and gasped for air. The environment around him was peaceful, as he regained control of his mind. He analyzed his surrounding, it was a grassland that stretch far and wide. The sky was white, it was an unrealistic view making Sheehan believe that this was an artificial space that he had often heart about.
[Welcome to the tutorial]
[Analyzing users Dormant powers, skills, class, stats and traits]
[The user is determined to be a regular human]
[The first challenge will begin, The difficulty has been adjusted to match the user's capabilities]
[Please select a weapon]
Sheehan saw the option to select a basic weapon, there were all kinds of weapons but Sheehan wasn't proficient with any of these weapons. In the end, he chose the most general choice.
A short sword. It felt very odd as he was holding a weapon for the very first time. A bit heavy but easy to handle. As he got himself used to this weapon another system window appeared.
[Stage 1 will begin in 30 Seconds]
After 30 Seconds a monster spawned in front of him. Sheehan was ready with the sword in his right hand.
A goblin with a mace in his hand appeared in front of Sheehan and rushed to assualt. It swung the mace with all its strength to deal a heavy blow. Instead of blocking the attack, Sheehan chose to get out of its way. He was completely focused and tried not get flustered by the attack.
The goblin missed the first attack however recovered his stance on time before Sheehan could launch a counter attack. He felt nervous and missed the chance to attack. The Goblin's attack was fierce and Sheehan only kept avoiding the attacks.
'Great, It's attack was slower this time.'
Even though Sheehan struggled to fight a mere goblin. He had a strategy in his mind... That was to make his opponent consume all of its stamina. He himself preserved his stamina and strength by just moving out of the goblin's attack range. The reason for evading the attacks was to make sure that he doesn't get injured in the slightest.
Soon the Goblin lost most of its strength and failed to recover in time. Allowing Sheehan to charge at the creature with a powerful strike on its head.
[You have killed a Gobline, Level 1]
Monsters were classified with race and Level. Sheehan found himself struggling against the weekest opponent but won in the end. He did his best to get the perfect win, sustaing his stamina and health.
[You gain 0.2 strength Stat point]
[Stage 2 will now begin in 30 Seconds]
The tutorial consisted of 10 stages and he was allowed to quit anytime, Sheehan knew that it will only get more difficult with each stage but now was not the time to quit. He had to make sure that he gets the most out of the tutorial rewards.
The stage 2 began and a wolf like monster appeared in front of him. It growled and looked at Sheehan like an easy prey. The difficulty had doubled on just stage 2 of the tutorial. The wolf was faster than the goblin and had more than one way to deal damage.
Sheehan was ready to be pounced on, a strategy like before won't work again so he stood his guard firmly. Ready for stabbing the opponent even if it resulted in few injuries. The wolf acted cautiously and moved in circles around him. It felt like it wanted to corner Sheehan into making a reckless move or do a surprise attack.
Sheehan was standing firmly keeping the shortsword pointed at the wolf. However the wolf was slowly getting closer as it circled around Sheehan. It was dangerous and cautious despite being a lot stronger than him. Suddenly though the wolf changed its direction when it came perfectly close to Sheehan to launch an attack.
It opened its Jaws to take a big bite however couldn't reach the target. Sheehan reacted in time even when caught in fear, he managed to stab the shoulder of wolf and leave a Deep wound before evading and counter attacking once again.
The wolf had never expected Sheehan to react in that way. For Sheehan it was a do or die situation, he understood the intention of the hunter and acted accordingly.
It was his choice to stand his guard and fight the monster and it was the best choice he had made today. Choosing to participate in the tutorial wasn't an error as well, it was because he determined that it was necessary for him.
