Life is cold , mine was strange to say the least , woke up in a tube surrounded in green liquid cold yet I could move my body a breathing tube on my face and a food tube in my gut yet all that remained beyond the tube was nothing but a cold and sterile room filled with metal and screens the room was average in size . the constant beep of the heart monitor and whirring server were comforting in a way as I extended my palm touching the surface of the glass it felt safe sturdy yet when I touched it the screens beside me reacted they lit up as a signal was transmitted.
my mind was empty yet i still could comprehend and feel I didn't know language but there was instinct and direction I was conscious I could understand I was young physically about four years old in terms of physical age and development I could see clearly and the first other living being I saw on the other side of the glass that imprisoned me was a young woman in her twenties she was wearing a lab coat her hair brown with markings on her face her eyes were white ethereal in there appearance she gazed at me surprised as my eyes tracked her movements she began to hyper ventilate her emotion spiked her hair fading from brown to grey then white as horns erupted from her head she was ecstatic as he began to go over the automated reports from his incubator.Â
She drained the fluid as I felt my feet touch the ground the lukewarm metal grate I stood on the chamber opened with a his as my lungs met sterile air for the first time he coughed as he took in in before he adjusted as he stood for the first time he walked he wondered how that was the fact as he flexed his hands he looked at her as she spoke.
"Ahh your wondering how you can walk strengthened your muscles and downloaded basic behaviors just looking at you ,you can understand and comprehend each word I say."
I tensed looking at her my mind clicking into place as I could comprehend what she said she gave me reasoning capabilities and a base of knowledge of how this world worked but only simple basics :gravity, speech, balance language and recall I could remember everything each moment had she engineered my photographic memory , my perception and sense of self
"You understand your my creation my son and I'm happy that your alive and at least responsive."
"What do you mean alive?" he asked confused , Who am I and what is my purpose, creator."
"What is my name , mother?"
