Chapter 4

The meat is actually kinda good and super filling, by morning I am well rested and nervous, let's hope that makes a difference. At sunrise the doors and windows are opened letting light spill in, I embrace every moment, every smell unpleasant ones included. The man in charge is the first person other than the slaves that I see, he only grins, you know the look a farmer gives the animals he's about to kill.

When he leaves a group of the peoples come in wielding spears and swords. They wait outside my cage while the leader dude comes back a metal rod with a collar on the end, they have done this before.

They put the collar through the cage and to put it lightly I snap, or it snaps to be more accurate as I bite down on it using metal teeth severing it from the rest of the shaft. The look of astonishment on his face is priceless, and for added effect I growl.

The only one who isn't afraid is the leader, he is shocked. That pole had apparently been bitten before but never broken, sadly he quickly recovers and leaves the room. When he returns he means business, six wolves ridden by men enter the room, their size is equal to mine but their numbers would surely mean victory. So when a hallway of wolves forms at the gate to my cage I know how this is going to go, my best bet, run.

The door is old and not greased so as it lifts a sharp squeal echoes through the room, the noise is obnoxious and sends my brain haywire I can't think it's so powerful. The other wolves seem to be taking it similarly, disoriented and afraid I make a dash for the door.

I push through the people and wolves all trying to recuperate, and stumble through the door. Running through was a bad idea, the blinding sun distracts me as I slide down a metal slope the slope leads to a sand pit twenty feet down. My claws dig into the metal, tearing through I slide to the edge leaving long streaks of bent and torn metal. When I come to a stop I take a moment to breath, the leader dude has other plans for me, he comes sprinting through the opening and before I can move leaps into my side using me like a platform he jumps off of me sending all of his momentum into me. Claws or no claws I fall off the other end just managing to land on my feet, but nonetheless out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The twenty foot high wall surrounds me making a large circle with a sand and dirt floor. Trying to escape would be futile at this point, the walls are much to high purposefully so, at the opposite end of the circle is a gate holding in what looks like three wolves. They want me to fight, to be more accurate they want me to kill and I don't think I can avoid this fight. Looking for a way out I quickly analyze the ring looking for any weak points and in the end my best bet is to use a dead wolf as a step to jump off of.

Severing my train of thought the gate is yanked upward sending the wolves in lightning fast. Barely dodging attackers I make it to there side of the ring, I can't run forever I need to fight. When they attack next I put my carefully engineered steel claws to use, in the moment I lose track of myself worrying only for survival but when I am the only living thing in the ring my mind clears.

There is blood everywhere a lot of it being the other wolves but some of it mine from gashes I received while fighting. My claws cut easily and my strength superior to theirs, even though I lived I have one regret, I regret killing the poor animals that were sent to their doom.

Without knowing my rage boils over and I zone out again, it takes almost half an hour to regain control and with it I lose my humanity. Blood. Blood everywhere, bodies to explain the sources, wolves, bears, humans and so many more. My primal instincts have conjured this nightmare and there is only one solution, I killed them, in my fit of rage I slaughtered everything I came across.

Only one good thing comes from this, my body shrinks with the rage all the way back to a human. In different circumstances I might be happy, but this what if it had been innocent people, what if they were innocent.

My body is not completely normal as I still have hand and feet claws made of steel and if I had cared enough I would have grabbed clothing, when my body grows my clothes do not survive is all I can understand. Blood soaked and mortified I crawl my way over their still warm bodies to the door, as I expected my rampage was not confined within this building.

Crawling through the mess I make it to a railing to the porch area I'm on and realize this isn't a building it's a battleship. There are twelve yellow basketball sized gems or crystals causing the ship to levitate, still I care little for safety and jump from the railing. Surprisingly I land on my feet, mentally numb I start walking, the terrain is a desert type surrounding so sand as far as the eye can see.

The blood dries with the sand giving me a sort of clothing made of sand chunks, even though it is not that smart I walk aimlessly through the desert slowly drying up. I want nothing more than to be in my cold bug infested home and for this never to have happened, but I can't change the past so I walk until collapse.

It comes a little before noon that I find a lake, the blue crystal water with luscious plant life creeping across the sand. My head enters first as I flop down on the banks scrubbing sand and blood away but as I clean I turn the water crimson, and in the end I settle for soaked in blood naked and not covered in sand. Although you could say I spoke too soon, a gust of wind comes out of nowhere slow at first but as it increases in speed I start to worry.

Normal wind goes in one direction unless a hot and cold force meet, this wind however is not cold in the slightest yet it swirls like a vortex, it's not normal. It picks up to a strong wind and as I try to fight against it, it just moves to stay on my position soon I am helpless against the wind it lifts me about two feet then completely ceases.

Instead of sand I fall to my hands and knees on soft green grass, almost instantly something is thrown over my lower half. Just after however is the sound of fourty or so people intaking air all at once in a collective gasp. And to my surprise that is actually what happened, I had been teleported from an oasis with no one for miles, to what looks like a castle with luscious green grass and thirty ish teen people in expensive uniforms with a few older. Mingled in the crowd I see several people with a cloth thrown around private areas. Closest to me is a girl fifteen or sixteen startled and angry, she grabs my shoulders attempting to get me to my feet to get me into the crowd.

I am drained mentally and physically, if not for the people we're not here I would let the wolf take over, but fearing I will kill anyone else I stay human and the girl in an expensive uniform helps me stand as we watch. By what I can see this is some sort of ritual from movies and shit where the expensive uniformed people do some magic and pull random humans from thin air. It appears men get women and women get men and no one comes with clothing, so the blankets are draped over them as they appear.

Once every person has another, an old dude in another expensive uniform walks to where we were teleported and says something about taking the day off. Although that's about all I hear as during a celebratory whoop I collapse completely.
