Kris blinked, and his knees almost gave out as he noticed the view below him.
"What the…?"
He was standing hundreds if not thousands of meters above the ground.
Below him was what he could only describe as an invisible floor saving him from free-falling to his death.
[Otherworldly Warrior, you have been Summoned.]
[To save this World from the Demon King's Curse is your duty and destiny.]
[Please accept it.]
Accompanying the golden words that floated in the air in front of him was a loud and deep voice.
[Out of the Twelve Chosen Otherworldly Warriors, due to your Purity and Morality, you have been deemed worthy.]
'Call me a virgin, why don't you?'
[From today onwards, you will be this world's Hero.]
Kris gulped, unable to focus on the floating words as he, too, was floating in the air.
[You have been granted Strength like no other, and Potential like no other.]
Suddenly, the invisible ground became visible, seemingly made of pure gold.
The ground bent into a hollow sphere encapsulating him.
[You will now be taken to the Altar, where the High Priestess of Mohr will explain everything.]
[The Spirit of the Ancient Gods wishes you farewell.]
"Farewell? How will I be taken to-"
The next second, the golden orb around Kris started moving. The acceleration forced his back to rest against the golden wall, and the orb accelerated some more.

This time, the floating words were blue and glowed faintly. No voice accompanied them.
"Status Window."

Random letters meant little to him for now.
"Will you answer my questions, System?"
No floating words appeared.
"Tsk." Kris crossed his arms. "Guess I'll have to wait for that High Priestess then."

"There you are♪"
Her silver hair flowed as she raised her hand towards the flying golden orb high up in the sky.

"Huh?!" Kris clicked his tongue. "Turbulence? Seriously?"
It was worse than turbulence, as he quickly realized.
"What a fucking start!" Kris cursed as his body was thrown against the upper part of the golden orb. "Crash landing, seriously?!"
Due to the incredible speed, it only took a couple of seconds.
BOOM!
The golden sphere hit the ground causing an earthquake to spread through the region.
Due to the momentum, the sphere only stopped moving after leaving a massive trail behind it.
"Fucking hell…" Kris cursed once everything stopped moving.
His gaze moved towards his hand as he felt something weird.
"My wrist…?!"
It was broken. Only for a second.
"It healed right away." Kris frowned. "What kind of mind fuck is this?"
The next second, the solid golden orb that encapsulated him started melting, liquifying.
"What now?!"
Kris tried to shield himself, fearing that the melted gold would burn him. It didn't.
Instead, the liquid was condensed and floated to circle around his wrist, forming a golden bracelet.
'Cool, I guess?' Kris thought to himself before he directed his gaze to the area surrounding him. 'Great spawn point. A fucking forest. Is the High Priestess supposed to find me here? Or did something unexpected happen?'
His ear suddenly twitched and Kris turned around.
There was growling.
"Seriously…?" He thought as he smiled nervously.
A great bear walked towards him, standing on its back paws. It must have been five meters tall.
Kris took a step back, and the golden bracelet shone for a moment before turning into a radiant sword that materialized in his hand.
"Well…" He stared at the sword for a moment before turning towards the bear. "Alright then."
It growled menacingly, and Kris noticed that blood was running down its jaws.
"Did I disturb your meal or something? I was disturbed too, actually."
The bear suddenly slammed its front paws against the ground, revealing the purple crystals embedded in its back.
'Guess I'll have to be careful about those.' Kris thought as he held his sword tightly. 'There was a Mana Stat in my Status Window. Bet those have something magical about them.'
A rageful growl echoed, and the bear started running forward!
Kris' eyes widened as he held his sword with both hands.
He felt incredibly energetic. He had more energy than ever. In fact, he felt a completely different kind of energy running through his body.
It only took noticing that distinction for a golden aura to start oozing out of his arms.
"Let's do this." He whispered with a smile.
As the bear got closer and closer, the golden aura started concentrating around his sword's blade.
Kris instinctively knew how to use Sword Aura[S].
He swung his sword once the Beast was two meters away, and a slash of golden aura was projected by his blade, cutting the bear's body in two.

"Well, that sucks." Kris whispered with a chuckle.
His ear twitched again, and he turned around.
"There you are!" She shouted as she pointed at him.
Her face was sweaty and she was breathing heavily.
By her reaction, it was obvious that she had been looking for him.
"The high Priestess, I would assume?"
"And you would be wrong!" She shouted between haggard breaths.
Kris scratched his head, slightly confused.
"I am…" She took a deep breath in, tired from the impressive sprint she had just performed. "I am Alatria, a High-Ranking Demoness!"
"Hm… I see."
"Among my people, I am Royalty! I am Alatria. Princess of Lussoria, and daughter to Lith, Queen of all Succubi!"
"Oho. So that makes you a Succubus as well, right?"
"Correct!" Alatria shouted with a devilish smile. "And I have come to claim your life. To drain you of your strength!"
Kris' lips slowly curled upwards.
"So a Succubus has come to drain me."
He swung his sword around and it turned back into a golden bracelet.
"Do you know how looong I've been waiting for this?"
