After the 'four-hour' long 'trudge'.. following an 'ox-cart' to the seat of the county.. we had finally arrived at the 'public square'.. where I will have the 'head-servant' of my family Lin.. put up the 'sign-board' with the 'recruitment-notice' carved on its face.
"Alright I doubt these poor 'peons' can even read.. make sure you let people know what it says when they come to Lin. Jade!.. come fan me. it's quite 'humid' today.. we still have a few hours till 'sun-down'.." I said ordering my demands..
"Yes!.. 'Eldest-Grandson'!.." I hear two replies of the same words coming from my follower's mouths.. at the same time.
"Good!.. haha!.. come one!.. come all!.. man!.. young man!.. woman!.. young woman!.. come all!.. 'Cao-Clan' of 'Qiao-County' is recruiting!.. shelter will provided!.. meals will be provided!.. you will even receive 'coin' for your service to my family!.. come all!.. while positions are still available!.." I shouted at the 'peasants' causing all hell to break loose. I only wanted fifty but there were well over a hundred already crowding the 'public square'.. rushing and shoving each other..

I might be 'five' but I'll 'gut' you like a fucking 'fish'!.. then I'll string your fucking 'dead-corpse' and hang you in a fucking tree!.. for the 'crows' to 'feast upon' you!.. how will you ever face your ancestors!.. acting like dogs!.. I know you are hungry!.. but I tell you this moment!.. You do not have to be hungry ever again!.. "Look!.. on these carts is 'pots' and fire-wood!.. there's corn and rice and even bran... We will make porridge for everyone here.. this is what you have to look forward to tasting every day if you join the 'house guards'.." I tell them all.. as 'house-keeper' Lin 'uncovers' the cloth material covering the 'ox-cart'.
"Men help move the pots and get fires set up for us to cook.. we will need fresh water from a clean well!.. make sure it's fucking clean!.. or I'll toss you in the well my fucking self!.. no one ruins my cooking!.. let that be 'known'!.. but other than that Im easy to 'please'.. I'll tell you all about myself and what I'm hoping to achieve!.. whilst we are eating and taking down everyone's pieces of information.." I tell them my orders as they all get to work making a temporary 'camp' in the 'public square' of the 'county seat'.
"It's the 'county magistrate' and his men coming!.." I hear one of the 'peasants' say as I start to hear shouts coming from the path leading into the rest of the town.
"What is going on here?! What are you all doing?! Is this rebellion?.." a fat older man dressed in 'official robes' shouted asking.
"Magistrate!.. You honor us with your presence!.. I am the eldest grandson' of the Cao Clan'. 'Cao-Song' is my Grandfather. I am sorry for any inconvenience my 'recruitment' has caused you and your 'town's-people'. I guarantee this is ordinary recruitment for 'clan-guards'.. no rebellion I assure you, Magistrate!.." I said to answer the questions he had asked.
"You are 'Mengde's' 'eldest son'.. ah yes!.. I remember now!.. wow so how many will you recruit?.. can you feed so many?.." the man said to ask.
"There will only be fifty recruited to be 'clan-guards' any others after fifty have been recruited will be assigned other positions within the 'Clan'.. such as farmer, 'wood-cutters', 'black-smiths', carpenters,.. 'cooks'.. positions like those. I forgot to mention my given name is 'Cao-Ce'.. what is yours if you do not mind me asking? Magistrate?.."

After we had gathered almost a hundred 'recruits'.. and made it back finally to the 'Cao-Estate' just as soon as the sun was 'going down'.. for the day to turn into the evening..
"Get the recruits settled in.. then we shall go over the information and decide which 'jobs' to assign everyone on the 'morrow'.. with 'God-Speed' ol' Lin. I thirst for sleep. I miss my bed.. my ass hurts from riding this horse back home.. the best gift I've received from someone not related to me at all.. haha! Isn't that right 'Sleipneir!'.. haha!.." I tell Lin to handle the peasants as I speak to my new all-black 'courser' 'war steed'.. I named 'Sleipneir' after the 'All-Father's' 'stallion'.
