As I traced back this body's memories back home, a large wall came into view. We crossed a river before reaching the gate, guarded by a soldier. The guard soldier looked at us and raised his spear before saying, "You're late, Feng." We passed through the gate and entered a village.
"What are you gonna say to dad this time?" Feng asked, as we were about to reach the house.
"This time? … Nothing." I replied with a straight face.
"Nothing? That's unusual." Feng replied as if it was surprising.
Feng's dad confronted us in front of the house. "Where's the fire wood, Ken?" He questioned.
"Fire wood?", I said in a confused voice.
"I sent you to get firewood from the forest with Feng, but look at what you've done." He shouted with anger.
"I'd told you last time as well, Why do you always get yourself into trouble?" He added with rage.
"I am sorry." I said with my head facing the floor.
Feng looked at me astonished and his dad was taken aback by my words, and said, "What did you just say now?"
"I'm sorry this won't happen again." I said as I looked him in his eyes.
He put his left palm over his eyes and said, "You'll have to take responsibility and apologize to him and his family, got it?"
"Yes."
Later that evening, Feng's dad and us went to the bullied kid's place to apologize for my actions.
*Knock* *Knock*
Feng's dad knocked on the door, got in, and met with the kid's family while we stood afar. We came closer and waited before he called for us. As we got in the house, they were right there, the kid's family and Feng's dad in the living room.
"I am sorry for my actions. Please forgive us." I said while bowing my head at once. Feng followed me as I bowed, then the kid's dad spoke, "Do you really think your sorry is going to be enough?"
…
"N-", before I could speak he added, "Look you two better not repeat this behavior again."
"Yes!" We said in unison.
Feng's dad then told us to go out for a while. I figured he talked with them to pay for the kid's medicine and apologized on our behalf again. He got out the house fairly quick to assume they wanted him to pay.
"Let's go back and eat you two." He said with a happy face, resting his arms on our shoulders.
As I pushed his arms off my shoulders, Feng said, "Yes, I'm so hungry, I'll help you."
Feng's dad looked at me as I pushed his arms and started walking with Feng on his right. I quietly followed after them.

Feng's dad started cooking a meal for us while Feng helped him out. I wondered why I was left out in all this, and said, "What do you want me to do? I'll help as well."
"Wow, where's this coming from, do you even know how to cook?" Feng said sarcastically with a cheeky smile.
"You don't need to help, Ken. Go get water from the well and wash up. We've got it covered here." Feng's dad replied while holding a huge chunk of meat on his arms.
"Looks like this body's original owner didn't know how to cook." I thought to myself as I headed for the well with a wooden bucket.
The well wasn't far but was isolated, and the village had torches lighting up the pathway. I passed through some houses and got to the well.
As I was pulling down the rope, I saw my hands glow blue with a mysterious symbol. That startled me and I let go of the rope. I looked at the glowing symbol on my hands as they fade away before feeling a sharp pain in my eyes.
