Darkness.
No afterlife. No light at the end of the tunnel. Just an empty void.
I wasn't floating. I wasn't standing. I just… was.
And then—
A pop-up window appeared out of nowhere.
[ERROR: SOUL PROCESSING FAILURE.]
Attempting manual reboot…
[Rebooting…]
I barely had time to process that before a voice echoed around me—everywhere and nowhere at once.
"Oh, great. Another cosmic glitch."
The void shifted, and suddenly, I was in a waiting room.
Not a normal one.
A cosmic customer service office, floating between galaxies and static-filled voids. A desk sat before me, labelled "Afterlife Processing—Please Take a Number."
Behind it, a white-robed figure sighed in exhaustion.
"Welcome to post-life processing! Before you ask—no, you weren't supposed to die."
I raised an eyebrow. "So… what happened?"
"Well… technically? You don't exist anymore."
A pause.
"…I'm sorry, what?"
"Yeah, the universe lost your data. Your soul got misplaced. You're a cosmic error now!"
I slowly rubbed my temples. "…Can this cosmic error get a redo?"
"Good news! We're running a limited-time reincarnation offer! Five wishes and a brand-new life!"
I squinted. "That sounds like a scam."
"It definitely is! But hey, it's better than staying here forever!"
I sighed. Alright. Think.
If I got to choose my new life, I needed a world with potential but enough chaos to hide in.
"…Marvel."
The robed figure perked up. "Ooooh, good choice! You'll probably die a lot."
"…Not the reassurance I was looking for."
"Anyway! Time for wishes! Pick wisely!"
The Five Wishes
✔ Wish 1: The Game Maker System.
"I want a system that lets me create, balance, and adjust abilities like a game developer."
✔ Wish 2: A Custom Power System.
"I want to create my own power system—one that balances power with risk, allowing for infinite growth but at a price."
✔ Wish 3: A New Identity.
"I want a new body—one that actually fits me. Not overpowered, but strong enough to survive."
✔ Wish 4: Multiverse Travel Potential.
"I want the ability to eventually access and travel the multiverse—but only if I can earn it through my system."
✔ Wish 5: An Evolving Mind.
"I want my mind to adapt with my power—no instant genius, but the ability to learn, strategize, and understand things at a much faster rate over time."
R.O.B. paused.
"Wait. You want to make your own power system?"
I nodded. "If I have to survive in Marvel, I need something scalable. No relying on pre-made magic or mutations. I want a system that lets me develop power logically—but it needs risks. Power needs to come at a cost."
The robed figure scratched their chin.
"That's… actually interesting. Alright. But since it's your design, you're responsible for the risks."
I frowned. "What do you mean?"
The R.O.B. snapped their fingers, and a new screen popped up.
[WARNING: LIMITATIONS IMPOSED.]
- User cannot naturally absorb energy like other Marvel beings.
- User must manually refine, evolve, and balance their powers.
- Overuse of any ability will cause permanent consequences.
- User's power will not be recognized by the universe until it reaches a certain level.
- User must earn multiverse travel through in-world progression.
I felt a chill crawl down my spine. "So, basically… I start off weaker than everyone else?"
R.O.B. grinned. "Exactly! Welcome to Marvel, kid!"
Before I could protest, a portal opened beneath me.
"GOOD LUCK!"
I fell.
Darkness Again… But Not Silence.
This time, I wasn't alone.
Something whispered.
A voice—no, many voices, layered over each other. Echoing in a thousand different tones, shifting between clarity and static.
[Booting: The Nameless System.]
[Initializing User Parameters…]
[Assigning Power System…]
[WARNING: USER HAS CHOSEN CUSTOM SYSTEM.]
[ALL RISKS WILL BE SELF-IMPOSED.]
Then—
Knowledge flooded my mind.
The Eclipse Power System (User-Created)
I had designed this.
A three-path system—each one offering a different way to gain power… but all with serious risks.
1. Shadow Eclipse – The Path of Erasure
The power of invisibility, stealth, and phasing out of existence.
✔ Lets me erase my presence, avoid detection, and phase through reality.
❌ Risk: Overuse leads to self-erasure. If I push too far, even I might forget I exist.
2. Primordial Eclipse – The Path of Rewriting
The power to reconstruct, adapt, and rewrite reality.
✔ Lets me alter my abilities, heal, and even change the rules of physics.
❌ Risk: Every change requires absolute knowledge. If I mess up, the results could be permanent.
3. Cataclysmic Eclipse – The Path of Annihilation
The power of entropy, destruction, and raw annihilation.
✔ Lets me erase objects, concepts, and even living beings from existence.
❌ Risk: The more I destroy, the more unstable I become. The world itself will push back.
[SYSTEM SYNCHRONIZED.]
[WELCOME, USER.]
[YOU HAVE CREATED A POWER SYSTEM OUTSIDE OF FATE.]
I gasped as my new body finally took form.
And suddenly—
I was awake.
