On a distant planet within the Nebeska Galaxy, two siblings sat together in their home's entertainment room.
"Abby, let me choose today!" Rody whined, crossing his arms.
His older sister, Abby, rolled her eyes. "We always watch what's at the top of the rankings! Don't you want to find something new for once?"
"But the top-ranked movies are guaranteed to be good!" Rody argued. "Who knows what kind of boring stuff we'll find in the recent uploads?"
Abby sighed. "You never know! Sometimes, hidden gems are in there! I say we pick something random from the new uploads."
"No way!"
Their argument continued until their home AI assistant chimed in.
"Would you like me to resolve this dispute?" the AI asked in a monotone voice.
"Yes!" both siblings said at the same time.
"Understood. I will generate a random decision between two options: Top Rankings and Recent Uploads."
A roulette wheel appeared on their screen, spinning rapidly. Both of them held their breath as it slowed down.
Click!
The wheel stopped on Recent Uploads.
"YES!" Abby jumped up, pumping her fist. "Looks like I win!"
Rody groaned. "Ugh, fine. But at least pick something that looks interesting!"
Abby smirked. "Don't worry. I have a feeling we're gonna find something great."
Abby scrolled through the Recent Uploads section of the Nebeska Film Fest competition page.
Every movie looked the same—spaceships, planets, alien wars—nothing out of the ordinary.
Then, something caught her eye.
Among all the space-themed posters, there was one movie with a background filled with lush greenery. It stood out like a single tree in a sea of metal and neon lights.
"Wait… what's that?" Rody pointed at the screen.
Abby clicked on it, revealing the title:
Doraemon: Stand by Me
"Huh… weird name," Rody muttered. "What even is this?"
The cover art showed a blue, round creature and a boy in a yellow shirt standing in a vast grassy field.
"Could that blue thing be an alien?" Rody wondered. "And maybe he meets the boy?"
Abby shrugged. "No idea, but it looks totally different from everything else here. And it's only an hour and a half long—most of these movies are four or five hours!"
Rody and Abby glanced at each other.
Then, at the same time, they grinned.
"Let's watch it," they said together.
As they selected the movie, the Vault Studios logo appeared on the screen.
"Vault Studios?" Rody raised an eyebrow. "Never heard of them."
"Must be a new studio," Abby said. "Well, let's see if they're any good."
The screen faded to black, and then…
The movie started.
Nobita's Morning Disaster
A dark, dreamlike atmosphere filled the screen. Nobita's mother's voice echoed loudly.
"Nobita! WAKE UP RIGHT NOW!"
The sound startled both Abby and Rody.
"Whoa! That was loud!" Rody laughed.
The screen shook as Nobita snapped awake in panic.
"AHHHH!"
He sat up in bed, breathing heavily, sweat dripping down his face.
Then, reality hit him. He glanced at the clock and his eyes widened in horror.
"I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL!"
The next few moments were pure chaos.
Nobita scrambled out of bed, tripping over his own feet. He shoved his uniform on backward, grabbed his bag, and ran out the door with toast in his mouth—only to be yanked back by his furious mother.
The siblings burst into laughter.
"This guy's a disaster!" Rody snickered.
The scene transitioned to Nobita's classroom, where his teacher stood with arms crossed.
"Late again, Nobita?"
The entire class snickered, and then the camera panned to Gian and Suneo, who were grinning mischievously.
"Wow, you're hopeless, Nobita," Suneo teased.
"Yeah! You should just live at school since you're always late!" Gian added.
Abby and Rody frowned.
"Ugh, these guys are jerks," Abby muttered.
"Yeah, let the poor dude live," Rody agreed.
The screen faded, transitioning to the next scene…
That night, Nobita sat miserably in his room.
Then, suddenly—a strange blue creature popped out of his desk drawer!
"Eh?! What is that?!" Rody sat up, eyes wide.
Nobita screamed and fell backward.
The creature smiled warmly.
"Hello! I'm Doraemon!"
Abby squealed. "HE'S SO CUTE!"
Doraemon introduced himself as a robotic cat from the future, sent to help Nobita fix his life.
What followed was a series of hilarious moments—Doraemon pulling out crazy gadgets from his pocket to help Nobita out of bad situations.
The siblings were completely hooked.
"Wait, he can just pull ANYTHING out of that pocket?!" Rody asked in amazement.
"That's so unfair! I want one!" Abby laughed.
The story continued, and soon, things took an emotional turn.
Nobita, who had always admired Shizuka, found out that she didn't feel the same way about him.
Rody groaned. "Man… that sucks."
But then came a scene that changed their minds about Shizuka.
Feeling miserable, Nobita used a gadget to make sure Shizuka stayed away from him, thinking it would make things easier.
But even when it became unbearable to be near him, Shizuka still stayed and helped him.
Abby and Rody sat in stunned silence.
"She… she's actually really kind," Abby whispered.
"Yeah…" Rody nodded. "I kinda like her now."
As the story progressed, Nobita used the Time Cloth to turn into his adult self and travel to the future to help Shizuka during a snow storm.
The snow storm scene was intense. Nobita, clumsy but determined, fought against the wind and snow to save Shizuka.
Abby and Rody leaned forward, holding their breath.
And then—Doraemon fell asleep at the most important moment!
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Rody shouted. "WAKE UP, YOU USELESS CAT!"
"DORAEMON, WAKE UP!" Abby yelled, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at the screen.
Finally, adult Nobita arrived, rescuing Shizuka just in time.
The siblings breathed a sigh of relief.
"That was intense," Rody said.
"Yeah, it was way too intense," Abby admitted, smiling.
And so, the movie continued…
