Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Hope For The Kingdom

Luna went to Truth's lab to find out about the development of the artifact to light up the city of Eden. When she was about to knock on the door, suddenly there was an explosion in Truth's lab. Suddenly hearing that, Luna opened the door to Truth's lab which was already filled with black smoke in the room.

Luna coughed in the room while shouting Truth's name, when she went deeper, Luna saw Truth whose body was already full of black smoke.

"Truth, are you okay?" Luna asked while approaching Truth.

Truth heard Luna's voice and began to regain consciousness. "Yeah, I'm okay, but it looks like I failed this time." Truth replied feeling disappointed.

Luna looked at Truth's workbench and saw a badly damaged magic artifact. Truth feels guilty about himself for making the kingdom project a total failure.

"I'm sorry Luna has ruined our plans together." Truth said while trying to stand up.

"It's not your fault, because this was purely an accident." Luna replied while calming down and helping Truth to stand up.

After that they approached the table and saw the magic artifact that was damaged and could not be repaired. Luna already knew this could happen because this was still a test version but she didn't think it would be this bad.

"Looks like we have to make it from scratch again, Luna." Truth said.

"It can't be helped, every project will always fail at the start." Luna replied, still thinking.

"It looks like we need Lito's help, maybe he knows about artifacts or other sources of energy for our project." Truth's suggestion to Luna.

"We can't do that, because we can't burden Lito anymore, his work has already piled up." Luna denied Truth's suggestion.

"But if this continues, we won't be able to find a middle ground for our project." Truth replied, who also understood Luna's feelings.

Luna just surrendered and accepted Truth's suggestion. "Okay, I'll go to Lito's room to ask about this." Luna said.

Luna now goes and stands outside Lito's office in the afternoon, peeking through the slightly open door. She watches him as she examines the royal report paper, her eyes scanning over the pages with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"Huh, there are always problems in the kingdom." Lito complained.

Luna furrows her brow as she hears Lito sigh of frustration. She can tell that something more is bothering him than just the problems on the report, She continues to listen, her ears perked up to catch any further details.

"Huh, it's been 10 years since this kingdom was established and filled with various races to live in this kingdom but there are always problems related to racism between each other." Said Lito, who was dizzy when he saw the royal report.

Luna's eyes widen at Lito's words, her heart sinking at the realization of the problem she referred to. She knows all too well the struggles that come with racism, having faced it herself in the past in an orphanage.

She bites her lip, torn between staying hidden and stepping forward to offer her support.

"But yes, the conflict will never end, as long as everyone has an ego, including the 6 guardians of Eden and me too." Lito complained again.

Luna's heart breaks as she hears the weight of Lito's words. She knows that he was right, that even the guardians of Eden have their own struggles and insecurities, but that doesn't make it any easier to accept.

She clenches her fists, feeling a mix of frustration and helplessness. She wishes there was something she could do to ease her burden, but she knows that it's up to her to find a solution.

"Huh, but I still haven't forgotten the seven of us together at the orphanage and doing crazy things together everyday." Lito said with a smile.

A small smile tugs at the corners of Luna's lips as she remembers the happy times with all spent together at the orphanage. The fond memories bring a sense of warmth to her heart, but it's quickly replaced by a feeling of sadness as she thinks about how much has changed since then.

She longs to go back to those simpler times, when everything was simpler and less complicated. But she knows that life rarely works out the way we want it to.

"The six of them still trust me so I will keep trying as long as I can even if it doesn't help much, because I still remember that I always failed to protect them since we were in the orphanage when they were bullied and I ended up getting battered to protect them." Said Lito, who felt his determination grow a little.

Luna's heart breaks even more as she recalls the times when she failed to protect her and others in the orphanage. She can see the pain and guilt in Lito's eyes, and it hurts her deeply to see Lito blaming himself for something that wasn't his fault.

Luna wants to reach out to Lito, to hold him close and reassure him that he did everything he could back then, but she knows that it's not her place to interfere. She watches you silently, her eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination.

"Okay, enough of the sadness, it's time to finish this job and then clean up the magical artifact warehouse after this." Lito said, starting to get a little high up.

Luna started snapping out of her thoughts. She takes a deep breath and pushes her emotions aside, determined to focus on the task at hand. Luna decides to take a deep breath and makes her way to Lito's office, knocking on the door softly.

"Enter the door is not locked." Lito answered.

Luna enters Lito office, her eyes scanning the room before settling on you. She notices the fatigue in Lito's eyes and the way his slumped over his desk*

"You look exhausted," Luna says, walking closer to Lito.

"Well, this report is really piling up." Lito complained.

Luna hums in agreement as she looks at the pile of papers on Lito's desk. She knows how demanding his job can be, but she can't help but worry about Lito.

"You should take a break," *Luna says gently, sitting down on the edge of Lito desk.

"Yes, you're right, Luna," Lito answered, accepting Luna's suggestion.

Luna smiled feeling that she could pay attention to Lito, then she approached Lito and held Lito's hand.

"Regarding any problem, you are not alone, Lito, so you should often talk to me or the other Guardians, okay?" Luna suggested to Lito.

Lito felt his burden starting to feel a little lighter, but Luna's arrival must have something to do with it but he felt he could help Luna.

"It seems like you have a problem Luna? You came here because there must be something you want to ask for, right?" Lito asked with a smile.

Luna then put on a grinning face because she felt something from Lito's smile. But Luna immediately started to get serious again for her task, she started to take a breath and stood back up in her serious mode.

"I want to ask about the artifact to produce light that we talked about this morning?" asked Luna.

"Oh about that, Are there any obstacles?" Lito asked Luna back.

"Yes, there is a problem so I ask for your advice, Lito, because you know a lot about it. Is it okay?" Luna asked Lito.

Lito stood up and stroked Luna's hair. "Anything for my friend, what can't I do to help, right?" Lito replied.

Luna's face turned red and she enjoyed Lito's touch on her head. "Thank you Lito, you can always help us whenever we are in trouble."
