Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Rebirth of the Black and Blue Slaughter

When I woke up, a searing pain tore through my chest. My vision blurred, and my body convulsed as I coughed out thick, dark blood. My breath came in ragged gasps, and a bitter, metallic taste filled my mouth. My limbs felt like lead, my strength drained away, and an unbearable cold crept through my veins. "Is this how I die?" I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. "A warrior like me... brought down by poison?" The irony stung more than the pain itself. Poison—something I should have been immune to. Yet, here I was, my body betraying me, my strength failing at the very peak of my power. I had been known as the Black and Blue Slaughter, named for my jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes.

From childhood, I had been an outcast, scorned and belittled. Mockery and disdain were my constant companions, but I refused to remain weak. I endured, suffered, fought, and survived. Through blood and fire, I carved my name into the annals of history, feared by even the high ranks of warriors and kings.I killed, gained power, killed again, and gained even more power, an endless cycle until I stood above all. No one could look down on me anymore—not the nobles, not the kings, not even the heavens themselves. Yet, despite my arrogance, I knew the truth: they all trembled before me, hiding their fear behind hollow words and forced smiles. But now, in the end, my power meant nothing."I'm sorry, my friends... I held on as long as I could, but I couldn't keep our promise forever. I guess this is it. I'll be joining you soon. "My vision darkened, and the voices around me faded. I let go, surrendering to the abyss.

But death did not claim me.A strange warmth enveloped me, and distant voices reached my ears. My body felt different—light, fragile, and unfamiliar. As the fog in my mind lifted, I became aware of my surroundings. "Madam, he looks a lot like the Duke," a voice whispered nearby. Duke? The word sent a jolt through me. It was a title I had only heard in stories, in fictional worlds of nobility and power. Was I dreaming? I forced my eyes open, and a blurry figure swam into view. A beautiful woman loomed over me, her face framed by golden curls. Her emerald eyes shimmered with unshed tears, filled with an emotion I couldn't quite place. I tried to move, to push her away—but my hands didn't obey me. I glanced down, and my heart stopped. Small, chubby fingers. Soft, fragile skin. No battle-worn calluses, no scars. This... this wasn't my body. Panic seized me, and before I could stop myself, a loud wail tore from my throat."Waaaaaaaaaaah!"
