[3rd POV]
"Huh?"
Hecate looked up, staring at Prometheus in confusion before responding, "Talk? What is there for us to talk about?"
"The Goddess of Magic, you should have foreseen this."
Prometheus, holding his cup, sat down beside Hecate and continued, "Zeus has ordered me and Epimetheus to go to the Earth and create new life forms from clay. Their arrival will bring a new order to the world, a new era, and... a new species..."
He looked up at the sky, which was even higher than Mount Olympus, and continued:
"I've made up my mind to help the new species. They're much weaker than us, but they have more potential and more hope. In the distant future, when the planet faces destruction, it will undoubtedly be them if anyone can find a way to survive. However, I'm a little concerned about your disciple, Ares. What does he think about these new species?"
"Do you really have to ask me these pointless questions?"
Hecate frowned and said, "The reason I stay away from Mount Olympus is because I don't want to get caught up in these troubles. What do the old gods or the new species have to do with me?"
"Sorry, I misspoke."
Seeing that the Hecate seemed a bit upset, Prometheus quickly apologized.
After thinking momentarily, Prometheus changed his approach and asked, "So, are you satisfied with your disciple, Ares? Can you at least tell me that?"
"He's okay."
Hecate glanced at Prometheus and casually replied, "At least he doesn't bother me when nothing is happening. He doesn't interrupt my work."
"Is that so?"
Prometheus lowered his head, stood up, and said to Hecate, "I understand now. Thank you, Goddess Hecate."
"Hmm?"
As Prometheus stood up to bid leave, Ares, standing in the center of the banquet, noticed him.
Ares was curious and thought, 'Prometheus? What does he want with Hecate?'
It wasn't that Ares was overly concerned about Hecate, but because it was Prometheus who went to see her.
In his mind, Prometheus and Athena were probably the only two gods on Mount Olympus who had guessed his true intentions.
As for Athena, she was in a difficult situation right now. Whether she wanted to go against him, cause trouble, or cooperate, it would undoubtedly have to be done secretly.
This was the unspoken understanding between such "pawns" as themselves.
Moreover, Athena was currently under Zeus's control, and she probably couldn't focus on Ares at the moment.
As for Prometheus, he had already gone down to Earth. He lost the benefits of being the God of Wisdom but also gained more freedom, allowing him ample time to scheme and plan his own affairs.
If Prometheus managed to get something out of Hecate, Ares was worried that Prometheus might secretly plot against him.
After seeing Ares' deep thought, Hephaestus glanced in that direction and responded, "Perhaps he's asking for some concepts of divine duties. Recently, it seems Zeus tasked him and his brother with creating a new batch of creatures."
"Oh?"
Ares thought for a moment. Indeed, Leto had mentioned something similar when he sent him to Hecate.
It seemed that the "humankind" in the myth was about to appear on Earth.
Ares then asked, "When are they planning to create them?"
"I don't know."
Hephaestus shook his head, "Zeus has given full responsibility for this task to Athena."
"Why Athena again?!"
Aries suddenly became furious, "Why her?!"
"Calm down."
Hephaestus advised, shaking his head.
"It makes sense that Athena, the most wisest of the fourth generation of gods, is handling the creation."
"No way!"
Aries thought to himself, 'I want to be involved in creating life forms too!'
Just as they were speaking, the door of the temple of the king of gods suddenly opened.
A fragrant breeze, accompanied by flying flower petals, flew out as the Muses began to sing, and Apollo played a melodious tune on his lyre.
A beautiful goddess, dressed in a gorgeous long dress and a crown of flowers, stepped out of the temple with a few attendants.
The main guest of the banquet, Aphrodite, had finally appeared before everyone.
She had long golden hair that shimmered like gold, and her blue eyes resembled the vast ocean from which she was born. Her skin exposed beneath her pink dress gleamed like fine porcelain. Her figure, appearance, facial features, and the way she carried herself were all perfect, and everything about her made everyone's hearts race.
The moment the gods saw Aphrodite, all the male gods felt like they had fallen in love, and most of the female gods, except for a few who were very confident, couldn't help but show expressions of jealousy and envy.
Ares leaned forward and caught a glimpse of the goddess, and even he couldn't help but feel a flutter in his heart.
[A/N: The romantic interest will only be Hecate and there's no harem.]
It had to be said that Aphrodite now truly seemed like a lotus that bloomed pure.
As the Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite naturally possessed an ability to make others fall in love with her. This power was incredibly strong, so much so that even a god like Ares found it difficult to resist.
Feeling the stir in his heart, Ares quickly lowered his head and mentally repeated some famous sayings about resisting temptation thirty times.
When he finally lifted his head again, Ares told himself that Aphrodite didn't seem so special anymore.
However, among the male gods present, it seemed that only Ares and Prometheus were the ones who kept their composure.
Ares was able to stay calm because he had already prepared himself mentally.
As for Prometheus, when he saw Aphrodite and felt his heart stir, he immediately realized that such a woman would never fall into his hands.
Even if there was a one-in-a-million chance that Zeus might give her to him, Prometheus knew he couldn't keep her.
Therefore, Prometheus quickly gathered his thoughts and cast aside any unnecessary feelings.
Except for the two of them, Zeus, Poseidon, Apollo, and the others all showed admiration toward her, and at that moment, Aphrodite instantly became the center of attention at the entire banquet.
"Come, come, come, let me introduce her to everyone."
Zeus waved at Aphrodite, and she walked over, looking a bit confused.
As she approached, Zeus placed his hand on her smooth, fragrant shoulder and introduced her to all the gods while patting her a little.
"Due to some changes in the divine positions, the Goddess of Moon, Selene, has voluntarily stepped down from the Twelve Olympians. Therefore, my daughter, Artemis, will temporarily take over her position as the Goddess of the Moon. And this is our new major god of Olympus. Her name is Aphrodite, and she will become the Goddess of Love and Beauty on Mount Olympus."
