It all begins with Mark, a thirteen-year-old boy at school. Iker, his best friend, was sitting next to him. Iker asks Mark, "Who the hell thought it was a good idea to put letters in math?" The bell rings, and the two head to the courtyard. Mark was chatting with Iker about who the hell decided to put letters in math when Frank, Mark's worst enemy, shows up and starts bothering them.
"Are you an idiot or what?" says Mark.
Frank smiles and punches Mark, who narrowly dodges it. Frank keeps trying to punch Mark, but Mark dodges and deflects every blow until he says, "Enough!" and punches Frank. Frank avoids it and lands a blow to Mark's stomach, causing him to spit saliva from the hit. Frank then lands another punch to Mark's face, making him fall to the ground, and finally kicks him in the stomach.
Iker tries to defend Mark but is quickly knocked down by Frank. Frank starts laughing at both of them, which infuriates Mark. He feels a heat he has never experienced before. Mark gets up and delivers a powerful punch to Frank, making him bleed from the nose. The fight is about to continue, but a teacher intervenes, and both of them get expelled.
Mark arrives home, and all of this happens on his birthday.
"Mark, I understand you did it to defend your friend, but this isn't how things are solved," says his mother.
Mark heads to the bathroom to take a shower. "I'll be stronger and defeat all my enemies!" says Mark. After finishing his shower, he goes to his room. The clock reads 13:59 (Mark was born at 14:00). Just as the clock strikes 14:00, Mark turns 14, and suddenly a heat travels all the way up his arm to his hand. Mark turns his head and sees that his hand is on fire
