"You little rascal, don't you know who are you talking to as of today?" A boy shouted in the corridor.
Mikeal was just passing by and not paying much attention, he had just arrived in school to his surprise everyone was nowhere to be found the corridor was empty because everyone single student was where all the commotion was.
Part of the corridor where whatever was happening was taking place was blocked by the school crowd of students who were all paying attention and looking at whatever was happening.
"Excuse me..." Mikeal tries to pass through.
Those who were at the back of the crowd didn't really have any attitude towards Mikeal and his request instead they just opened a path for him, it was no problem for anyone up until...
He tried to pass upfront those students who were blocking the way, didn't care about Mikeal or about his request they just looked at him funny, gave him the stink eye, and one student even shoved him to the floor.
When Mikeal fell to the floor he made a thud sound alarming everyone that someone just fell onto the floor, everyone was caught off guard so they all gasped and lost interest on what was happening and paid attention to Mikeal.
"Whoa someone pushed Mikeal." One of the male students whispered.
"Man, I wonder who is brave enough to do something like that." Another male student took interest.
"Or stupid." The first male student stated.
No one really knew who had the balls and the guts to do something like that to Mikeal, in school he was very known as a quiet and calm guy who you shouldn't mess with and he wouldn't dare mess with you. He was used to everyone fearing him for some reason and instead of that bothering him, he actually found it comforting.
Because it made things easier for him not to waste his time trying to make stupid conversations or try to make friends, he was just a simple cool guy, who just preferred to be on his own.
Unlike the rest of the clueless people who didn't know who pushed him, Mikeal knew exactly who pushed him and his eyes were locked on that person, those who saw who pushed him knew what was coming and instead of doing anything like helping him off the floor, they just stepped aside and looked at the person who pushed Mikeal.
"Damn... Four eyes pushed Mikeal?" One of the female students made things worse.
The four eyed person that the girl was talking about was none other than Hector House, he was just a simple scrawny short kid who wore glasses that had been tied around his neck, everyone knew Hector, and he was very famous for being the kid who was often picked up on by bullies and those who wanted to be bullies.
Seeing the look in Mikeal's eyes poor Hector trembled with fear, he just dropped the books he had on his hands and rushed in to help up Mikeal.
"I am really sorry, I didn't mean what I did!" Hector was busy dusting off Mikeal and picking up everything that he had dropped.
"Two fights in one day, morning at that, I have to say this is the best day to close off school." A female student starting up a riot.
Hector had been bullied so many times so he knew what was coming next, so he positioned himself in front of Mikeal so he can do whatever he wanted.
Not wanting to see himself being attacked Hector faced down and closed his eyes.
"Whatever punishment you think I deserve I'm right here waiting."
Everyone who saw Mikeal raise up his hand gasped even some closed their eyes because they didn't want to see him attacked poor Hector, but they were in for a disappointment.
"It's okay Hector mistakes happen, and thank you for helping me up."
"What?" All the students were caught off guard and disappointed.
Mikeal didn't really do anything to Hector, he simply just put his hand on Hector's shoulder and smiled.
Then Mikeal just continued going through the crowd, everyone just stepped aside for him and he finally saw what the commotion was really about, there was a kid being kicked by the school's number one bully Flash Sticks.
"Pardon me." Mikeal asked Flash to step aside since he was blocking his locker.
"You're not excused!" Flash responded.
Mikeal just took a deep breath and chuckled a bit, ignored whatever response Flash had given him and he just opened his locker.
Flash feeling disrespected he just slammed Mikeal's locker so loud it was a miracle that it didn't break.
"Do you even know who you are talking too as of today, Park?" Flash up in Mikeal's face.
"No, but I bet judging from the thing coming out of your mouth it's safe to say Toxic Breath." Mikeal gagging like he was about to throw up.
Everyone just laughed making Flash feel humiliation, he just lost control and threw a punch right at Mikeal's, who was so fast at dodging it. Flash missed and hit the locker.
"Argh! Man and I just had that locker painted."
Mikeal pushed Flash's punch off his locker making him hit it with his body, and Mikeal just hit Flash on the face with his locker three times and just pushed him to the floor.
"Oops my hand must have slipped." Mikeal acts surprised.
Flash's friends come to his aid busy checking up on him, he pushed them aside.
"Forget about me! Get him!" He ordered.
From that moment Mikeal knew that this meant for him that school's over even before it started and he just took his belongings and just ran.
A few of Flash's friends went after him and two remained helping him off the floor and they all went after him.
Mikeal didn't waste any he just kept running and running, he knew that he could take them all but he was just not in the mood for a fight, so he played around.
Flash and his friends were really closing up to Mikeal who was giving up all his speed running, everything in the outside looked abandoned and so old but not all, just some parts of the town.
Mikeal was really familiar with the place so he took short cuts in a place that wasn't as nice as the other places, it wasn't even close. The place that he chose to run away from the people chasing him was a place called the Playground.
The reason why this place was called the Playground was because it looked abandoned and was a ghost town, the infrastructure and the roads and cars were all destroyed and mould was everywhere, this was a very dangerous place. All places were but the playground was far worse.
Even though the Playground was an abandoned town, it had it's inhabitants and they weren't friendly inhabitants at that, it was over populated and overcrowded by monsters that were called Cannibals, or man-eaters like the names give away.
Years ago a virus broke out killing most of the human population and turning half of the population into some kind of humanoid creatures that weren't human but looked human, making them eat other humans and taking over the world.
Mikeal wasn't one of the lucky ones he witnessed and saw these monsters eat his family infront of him, right before they could devour him. He was saved by something.
This incident happened seven years ago when then world was fighting for survival against these creatures, a military force came into light and found a way to get rid of these monsters and give humanity a fighting chance since normal weapons proved useless against some of these monsters.
For protection Mikeal was stationed in another place where he was going to be watched under the care of trained military officers as a young boy, but that was short lived when his guardian was stationed somewhere and killed, so he lived alone since he was ten years and now he was sixteen.
Mikeal was very careful during his time in the Playground he was so familiar with the place he knew the hotspots of where the monsters lived, he made sure that he didn't make any sound to alarm them.
Flash and his friends where still catching up to him.
"Make sure that he doesn't escape alive!"
Hiding in plain sight but no one could see him behind him, Mikeal heard a screeching sound. Right as he was about to be caught by the monster behind him, he barely escaped leaving behind his bag.
Now not only was he being chased by Flash and his friends now it was a monster that was faster and running with all it's arms and legs, growling and trying catch him.
There was no place where he could hide that screech he heard was not just a cry but a call to other monsters, so he had a few seconds before they all could come out.
He saw an old shopping mall barely any monster would go there and he knew that, so he took a risky chance, running to that mall.
The monster wasn't running now it was hopping with each hop getting closer, thinking that he was going to escape. Little did he know that wasn't going to be the case.
Just right after Mikeal leaped and put his foot to the entrance of the mall, something was running towards him, and it bit him on his shoulder and jumped to attack the other monster coming in.
Obviously everything happened so fast he didn't even see what the hell just attacked him, he just felt himself paralyzed and falling on to the floor, getting dizzy.
His eyes were shutting down but with a blur vision, Mikeal managed to see what was happening. A different cannibal was standing outside, in it's hand it was chocking the cannibal chasing after Mikeal, and saw it being eaten by the one that attacked him.
Then it looked at him with it's white pure eyes.
And right before he passed out something appeared before Mikeal's eyes.
