The days that followed were calmer, but also filled with increasingly intense training. My friends and I continued to train together, improving our abilities and preparing for threats that we had yet to encounter. Even though the great battle had passed, I knew that those who sought my power would not stop. They were surely planning their next move.
During training, I began to understand just how immense the power within me was. It felt like a raging fire inside my body, energy constantly flowing, ready to be unleashed. But I also realized that, despite its vastness, without proper control, that power could backfire and destroy me.
Mizuki often taught me how to use magic to manipulate the energy around me, while Raiden trained me in more focused combat—how to avoid attacks, how to deflect the enemy's power, and how to use every movement to secure victory. Every day, we grew closer to understanding the potential within us, and every day, it became clearer that our battle was far from over.
One afternoon, after an exhausting training session, I sat under a large tree outside our training grounds. Aoi came to me, her ever-attentive eyes now filled with concern.
"Haruto," Aoi said, "I know you're working hard, but don't forget about yourself. I know this is all difficult, and I just want you to know that I'm here for you."
I smiled at her, touched by her concern and affection. "Aoi, I... I don't know what will happen, but I have to protect all of us. I have to fight against this fate."
Aoi sat beside me, holding my hand tightly. "I know you will, Haruto. I believe in you. But remember, you don't have to do it alone."
I looked at her, feeling the calmness that came from her words. Even though the world outside was full of threats and a waiting destiny, Aoi was the reason I kept fighting. For her, for my friends, and for the world to come.
With a lighter heart, I stood and gazed at the sky, now darkening. "I won't give up," I said, with newfound conviction. "I will protect this world, no matter what happens."
