Chapter 1 - Where am I?

(Chapter 1-4 were so boring due to high emotional demand but talks about the MC background and how everything started. You may skip it but as an author, I recommend to read it for far understanding)

.

"Why was I born in this world? For what reason… and what purpose?"

-Elyass whispered to himself as he walked through the crowded streets, his head lowered, avoiding the gazes of those around him. The city was alive with movement—people rushing to work, laughing with friends, talking about their ambitions and dreams. But for Elyass, none of that mattered. He felt like a ghost, unseen and unwanted, trapped in a life that felt meaningless.

"I'm just an ordinary, ugly, and fat guy, with no talent, no intelligence, no dreams, and no ambitions... damn."

The words echoed in his mind, each one heavier than the last. He hated himself. He hated the way he looked, the way he felt, the way he failed at everything he tried. Every day was the same—waking up to disappointment, drowning in self-doubt, and feeling jealous of those who had a purpose.

For years, he had tried to escape the pain. He had attempted suicide multiple times, believing it was the only way out. But each time, a single thought stopped him—his mother.

She was the only person who ever cared about him, the only person who still looked at him with love despite all his failures. No matter how much he suffered, the thought of leaving her alone in this world always held him back.

Hours later.

Elyass stood at the entrance of his mother's workplace, hesitating before stepping inside. His stomach twisted in knots, and his hands felt clammy. He already knew what was coming.

As soon as he entered, he saw her. His mother was sitting at her desk, her hands gripping a report card. Her shoulders were shaking, her face buried in her hands. She was crying—deep, painful sobs that made Elyass's chest tighten.

Slowly, she turned to him, her tear-filled eyes filled with disappointment and sadness. She held up the report card, and her fingers trembling. The red ink of failure was clear—all subjects marked with a failing grade of 5.0.

"Why are your grades like this?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, yet carrying the weight of heartbreak.

Elyass froze. He wanted to speak, to explain, to say anything that would make this moment hurt less. But nothing came out. His throat felt dry, his body shaking under the weight of shame.

His mother took a deep breath, wiping her tears, but her voice remained unsteady. "I worked so hard!!... I sacrificed so much!... and this is what you give me?!!"

Elyass clenched his fists. He couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't bear to see her like this, and couldn't stand the pain in her eyes.

"Ma!, I tried my best, but I can't... Maaa!!, I just can't... I can't do what you expect from me," he said, his voice breaking.

His mother closed her eyes, more tears falling down her face. Silence filled the room, a silence heavier than any words could ever be.

The weight of failure crushed Elyass. He wanted to disappear, to erase himself from this world. His mother's tears felt like knives stabbing into his heart, and he knew he was the cause of her pain.

That night.

Elyass ran. He didn't know where he was going—he just wanted to escape, to get as far away as possible. His feet carried him through the city, past glowing billboards and busy streets, until he reached his destination.

The tallest building in the city.

His breathing was ragged as he climbed the stairs to the top floor, his legs shaking with exhaustion. When he finally reached the rooftop, he walked toward the edge, the cold wind biting against his skin.

He sat down, and wear his earpods. Sad songs filled the air as he stared at the city below, watching the lights flicker like distant stars.

"Maybe this is it... Maybe this is the only way to make the pain stop... to die".

Tears slid down his cheeks, but this time, he didn't bother wiping them away. He had nothing left to give, no reason to keep going.

All he had left was the thought of ending it all.

[IN ANOTHER WORLD]

Deep beneath the kingdom, in the cold and dark depths of a prison, a man named Matteo sat in chains. His body was weak, his clothes tattered, but his spirit refused to break. He had been imprisoned for 30 years and for one reason—standing against the tyrants who ruled with cruelty and greed.

Every day, he whispered the same prayer.

"Please!... let the Crown return. Let justice rise again. Save us from this suffering!"

But no matter how many times he prayed, there was only silence. No savior came. No miracle happened.

"No one is listening!!" he muttered to himself, his voice filled with despair. "No one cares!!"

Doubt turned into frustration. Frustration turned into determination. If no one would save him, then he would save himself.

One night, as the guards grew lazy in their duties, Matteo saw his chance. He slipped free from his chains, his heart pounding in his chest. As soon as he stepped out of his cell, he ran as fast as his tired legs could carry him.

"I'm not dying in this place!!.." he swore under his breath.

The cold air of freedom was just within reach. But before he could escape, the sound of heavy boots filled the corridor. Soldiers surrounded him, weapons drawn.

"You really thought you could escape?" -one of them sneered.

Matteo clenched his fists. "I will not live under your rule forever!"

The soldiers only laughed as they grabbed him, dragging him back to his cell. This time, there was no trial, no chance to speak. The verdict was clear:

"For attempting to escape, you will be sentenced to death."

Matteo lowered his head. He had failed. But as they carried him away, his lips curled into a weak smile and said...

"The Crown will return... and when it does, you will all pay!..."

(All the soldiers laughed so hard they could barely breathe)

"...one day! ... I promise"

IN ELYASS WORLD

Elyass stood on the rooftop, the cold wind against his skin. He took a deep breath. His heart pounded, his mind empty, and ready to jump.

But just as he was about to jump, a loud explosion shook the city. His eyes widened as he looked toward the location. Even from far away, he recognized the place—his mother's workplace.

"No… this can't beee!!!"

Panic filled his body. He ran as fast as he could, his legs weak, his chest burning. But he didn't stop.

When he arrived at the scene, his whole world collapsed.

He saw his mother lay on the ground, covered in blood, her body full of stab wounds. Then his knees gave out as he stared at her mother.

"Ma!!… Maaa!!!" he cried, his voice breaking.

He could hear the police talking nearby. "The suspect has been caught."

But Elyass didn't care. His mother—his only reason to keep going—was gone.

Tears streamed down his face. His body shook.

He had lost everything.

"What do I do now?"

"Where am I going?"
