It was cold, with a gentle breeze, and the sparrows were chirping softly, creating a special calmness in the environment.
Suddenly, Hiroshi [knock knock knock knock knock]
"Woon, oh my God, it's the apocalypse!"
Hiroshi: "It's five minutes past five, you're late, you donkey, wake up!"
Woon: "Dad, I messed up, let me sleep for two more minutes."
Hiroshi: [knock knock knock knock] "You've been sleeping for five hours and three minutes, that's enough, we're late!"
Woon: "Alright, I'm waking up."
Hiroshi: "Why am I even wasting my time like this?"
Suddenly, he grabbed Woon by the collar of his shirt and lifted him up.
Woon: "Aghhh, I'm suffocating!"
They arrived at a gentle, very cold waterfall.
Suddenly, Hiroshi threw him into the waterfall.
Woon: [Aghhhhhhhh!]
Woon's head hit a rock.
Hiroshi: "Hey, kid, are you okay? Is your head okay? Did it break?"
Hiroshi jumped in after him.
Woon: "You were worried about me?"
Hiroshi gently patted his head and then hit him again.
Hiroshi: "Your head isn't broken, right? Now come sit under the waterfall and try to focus."
Woon: "Alright."
Hiroshi: "Good."
Woon: "I'm freezing... this is too much..."
[knock knock knock]
"Sit still, kid."
"Alright, master."
He kept training him until night, and then they returned. Woon fell asleep.
15 days later...
The master looked at Woon and felt proud of him. In those 15 days, Woon realized that staying quiet was much better.
But this time, instead of training at the waterfall, they went to a beautiful, lush meadow.
Woon let out a soft sigh, feeling like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders, and they left that freezing place behind. He was happy, and a smile was clearly visible on his face.
The master handed him a sword.
"Show me your skills, and if you make a mistake, you'll get hit."
The sword was heavy for Woon because he had always practiced with a wooden sword.
Woon started swinging the sword.
Suddenly, he hit his own arm [knock].
Woon felt the pain but kept swinging.
This time, he hit his wrist [knock].
And like that, the master kept hitting him in different places on his body.
Woon had figured it out and was trying to adjust his movements.
...15 days later...
Woon had gotten better at swordsmanship. He had underestimated his own strength, thinking he was weak, but he turned out to be strong. Only a month had passed.
Second month...
He started learning to control his "Ko."
His master told him, "You're really bad at controlling your Ko, even though it flows through your entire body."
Woon respected his master even more.
His master replied, "This technique is rare in this world. Healers are few, so it's better if you know a healing technique. It also helps you control your Ko energy better. So, I'll teach you a technique that no one in the world knows about. This technique isn't for attack or defense."
Woon: "Then what's it for?"
Hiroshi: "For healing."
Woon: "What good is healing to me?"
[knock knock knock knock]
Woon had gotten used to it, and his body had become tougher.
"Lie down on this wooden board and try to transfer calmness to your entire body. Relax your body."
Woon lay down on the wooden board.
The master held a cup near his mouth and blew into it, filling it with Ko energy.
Quickly, he pressed the cup against one of Woon's Ko points.
He spun the cup rapidly and lifted it again, blowing into it once more. He repeated this process on five different points.
Woon got up and said, "That was relaxing. How do I do it?"
"Wait here, I'll go get a bowl of water."
Woon: "Alright, master."
He left and came back with the bowl.
Woon: "What should I do now?"
The master spun the cup in the bowl of water without bringing it close to his mouth or infusing it with Ko energy.
He asked Woon, "What did you see?"
Woon replied, "You spun a cup."
Then the master infused the cup with Ko energy and spun it rapidly in the bowl.
Woon was amazed to see the water in the bowl spinning gently, with tiny specks of Ko visible.
Master: "This is your exercise. Every night before bed, practice for an hour and try to control your Ko so you can use it properly."
Woon tried but couldn't do it well. He kept practicing but still struggled.
His master told him, "Never lose hope. Everything is possible. Every effort bears fruit."
One year later..
