Locals had named it "Хангарьд" because, from a distance, the shadows cast by cars swaying across the suspension bridge made it look like the wings of a giant bird in flight. Normally, Kairo would head to the ice cream stalls clustered below the "wings," a small comfort amid the day's hustle. But today, he leaned against the bridge railing, his eyes scanning the bustling street below with a newfound intensity.
He let out a sigh. "Within five kilometers of where we met… there are over fifty coffee shops, a hundred places that sell coffee, and at least fifty more internet cafés where she might go," he muttered, closing his eyes briefly.
