For thousands of years, numerous myths and legends have surrounded the Leviathan. Its scales are said to be harder than diamonds, and it has often been referred to as "The Ruler of Earth" throughout history. In some religious texts, it is also depicted as the demon of envy. With little to no evidence supporting the existence of these creatures, scientists once concluded that they were merely myths—fictional monsters known only through legend. However, unbeknownst to humanity, this was far from the truth. In 1943, scientists discovered a scale belonging to a massive marine species, measuring at least 60 feet in both length and width. This finding proved that there are indeed colossal creatures yet unknown to humanity. Furthermore, in 2004, a fossil of a mysterious large animal was uncovered, with a skeleton measuring an astonishing 340 feet in length. These are the first events that people actually started to question the existence of creatures that are unknown to the rest of the world, in 2010 there was a sighting of a creature estimated to be over 500 feet long. John Rogan, the man who witnessed this phenomenon, described its appearance as follows: "The creature was colossal, its mere presence unleashing thunderstorms and winds so fierce that large trees were uprooted. Its eyes… they were the eyes of the devil—utterly incomprehensible to the naked eye. Its form seemed to be of ancient origin. Spikes ran down its back, and its body was serpentine, with a head resembling that of a dragon. Smoke billowed from its nostrils, and fire erupted from its mouth." Just four minutes after the sighting, a series of catastrophic events unfolded: hundreds of magnitude 9.8 earthquakes, tornadoes with winds reaching 400 miles per hour, hurricanes 2 to 4 times more powerful than the Great Galveston Hurricane, and tsunamis towering over 2,720 feet. In total, over 200 of these devastating natural disasters struck across the globe, claiming the lives of 40 million people.
