Chapter 6 - Reality difficult to accept.

Three days have passed since the incident, and Davos has an idea of exactly what the old man wants with him.

The orc who treats him like a guinea pig has made him his slave. No matter what, Davos cannot remove the necklace. As soon as the old man gives him an order, he has to comply. If he doesn't, the necklace will suffocate him to death. But he stops as soon as he begins to comply with the order.

After this incident, Gorak, the orc who had enslaved him, had given him the order to never leave the cave and also to clean and organize the books and scrolls.

At first, Davos was red with anger, but after a while he saw that there was an opportunity to absorb what information he could and use it to his advantage.

So every night when the orc left, Davos began his research among the books and scrolls.

In the end, he separated three piles of books that had caught his attention.

– I never imagined there would be energy books here, is this old man crazy or does he not care if I can obtain power from these books?

These energy books were a great find, Davos could imagine where these books came from, villages and cities burned and looted.

In the world there are two types of energy: mana and aura, when the energy is practiced and directed to your heart it becomes the aura of a warrior, but when the energy is directed to the brain it becomes the mana of the mages.

– I remember some adventurers who passed through the village talking about this in the past.

A nostalgia quickly passes through Davos' mind as he remembers his days in the village.

He then strengthens his feelings and goes to the books.

– The first pile talks about the aura of the warriors as well as sword, shield, archery and spear techniques.

– The second one talks about mana and some elemental magics such as fireball, electric shot, earth spikes and wind blades ... – But the third pile leaves me very perplexed.

In front of him, the third pile of books brought him conflicting feelings because there were only six books with black covers.

- The title is Study on the Energy of the Dead, from Acolyte to the Pinnacle of Necromancy, written by Ratma the Immortal.

When he read the author's name, he could feel a chill run through his entire body.

- Okay, I think now is not the time for that, I should be collecting information of utmost importance and perhaps some maps, for when I escape from here.

Davos quickly runs to put the books in their proper places and sets off in search of information.

After a few hours, he finally finds two rolls of parchment and an old map.

- Phew, it finally yielded some fruits.

When he was about to start reading, his vision went out of focus.

Because the first rays of sunlight reached the entrance of the cave along with the sound of footsteps in the distance.

- Oh shit.

He runs to put his things away in a corner and jumps onto the pile of dry grass he calls his bed to pretend to be asleep.
