{Tier 1: Sun Core}{Upgradable;100UP}

{Sol was the champion of the universe who stood above everything, including the source of his power. He vowed never to die again due to the absence of the sun and refined his heart to the core. By day, Sol consumes the sun's rays and stores them in his core, and at night, he becomes the sun itself.}
'Sol was his name?' Leo was stunned since the man never introduced himself and always referred to himself as the one.
"Tier one only has 10 points—that 10 minutes of invincibility should I find myself in a situation where there is no disciple nearby," Leo muttered thoughtfully. "I think that's enough time to kill whatever is trying to kill me."
Leo also gained {300 Armory points} but he needed to get to level 10 to unlock the demon lord's armory. He also gained {50 Upgrade points} but that wasn't enough to upgrade his sun core.
He left the extra stats alone since he didn't really need it for now. Without it, he could pummel almost anything in this town, so he thought it would be best to save it till necessary.
And that was it—he had gotten much stronger just because he made the right move.
Leo sneaked a contemptuous glare at Azakar before jumping off the bed. He felt different—before, it felt like he was drawing power from a source but now, he felt like he had become the source.
"I see why they call it awakening. It changes a lot about you." Leo said and walked out of the room.
Walking down the attic stairs, he bumped into Anderson who was just coming up to his room.
"I was coming over to check on you. I have never seen you so exhausted before." Anderson held Leo's shoulders, searching his body for injuries.
Leo was touched by the concern but the physical contact made him uncomfortable. He shrugged the old man off and took a step back with his hand outstretched to maintain the distance.
"I'm okay… I just had to chase down the thing that killed me and kill it. Then I had to run through the woods for over an hour to avoid being caught by the police. It was fun though." Leo shrugged.
Buzz!
Anderson's hands dropped—this response was expected. What he didn't expect was the flask crashing sound that rang behind them. Leo looked over at Anderson, and to his surprise, Felix was standing there—a flask filled with steaming hot Mac & cheese lay on the ground; thankfully, it was properly sealed.
"YOU WHAT?!"
—
Leo was seated with a fork and knife in hand—his plate decorated with Mac & cheese, some grilled chicken breasts, and a large portion of gazelle meat flanked by a glass of orange juice.
He wanted to dig in but the questioning glares fixated on him made him lose appetite.
"Can't this wait till I'm done eating?!" He snapped and they both jerked back–their faces etched with shocked expressions.
"DON'T TALK TO YOUR ELDERS LIKE THAT!" Felix got up and yelled at Leo, leaving him shocked.
He didn't have a problem if Leo yelled at him, but he shouldn't do the same to Mr. Anderson.
"I just told you I killed a monster and you think it's wise to yell at me?" Leo glared at Felix and he turned pale.
Gulp!
Felix swallowed hard and timidly sat down. But Anderson placed a palm on his shoulder to cheer him up.
"Don't take him seriously… Leo acts tough on the outside but he's a good person deep down. He won't hurt a fly." Anderson assured, only to hear Leo giggle.
"I bet that's what Isaiah thought too."
Leo let out a villainous giggle before sinking his teeth into his chicken and favoring the flavor with a satisfied smile.
Mama Thuggings never misses!
"WHAT?!" Anderson and Felix jumped to their feet in shock.
"Relax, he came after me first and ended up getting smoked. Not even his ashes remained." Leo reminisced with a sheepish smile.
Anderson was going to refute Leo's words but he remembered that day. The abnormal sunlight focused on a part of the pine forest, his bloodied clothes, and the stench of burning flesh.
He noticed something changed about Leo on that day.
Leo ignored their stares and cut his steak into smaller chunks. He stabbed a piece and watched its juices flow out—well-seasoned, just the way he liked it.
Snap!
{False Sun}
A pinky-sized false sun appeared, and the room began hitting up rapidly. Leo released it in an ins; however, Anderson and Felix were already soaked in sweat, and they wore bewildered expressions.
If he had held it for a second longer in this enclosed space; they would have passed out. The strength of the sin of pride was immense—while Leo had never seen any other sin, he was sure they weren't this terrifying.
He finally understood why the universe had to join hands to kill Sol.
"The power was originally human but got tainted by the underworld after he died." Leo frowned.
This was the only logical explanation he came up with after listening to Sol's story. He ignored the
fact that Felix and Anderson were still gazing at him like he was a monster.
