After the death of his father, Namsang decided to seek an ancient monument. He left his home and embarked on a journey by flying on his sword. As a foundation stage cultivator, he had the ability to fly on his sword. While traveling, he thought that wandering aimlessly would be worthless, so he decided to gather some information in a nearby town.
Upon arriving in the town, with its big buildings, he went to a place specifically made for cultivators, a large structure where only a few cultivators, around a hundred, were present. He went directly to the library to find information. The library was expansive, filled with many books, and he began to search through them. He found a book that stated the birthplace of Buddha was the best chance for enlightenment. After reading that, he searched for more information about where Buddha was born and discovered that Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal. Thus, he began his journey.
Even though he was over 100 years old, he continued to cultivate while traveling. Along the way, he saw beautiful places—mountains, rivers, and waterfalls—and he never imagined the world could be so stunning. After three months, he finally reached Lumbini.
Upon arrival, he went to the temple to pray, knowing that if he prayed for ten consecutive days without eating or drinking while bowing down ten thousand times, a secret door would open. He obtained this information from that book. However, it was merely a theory; many cultivators had attempted it but none succeeded. Nevertheless, he began his task. After ten days, he was extremely hungry but refused to give up.
He started his second challenge—bowing down ten thousand times. The first thousand felt easy, but by the fifth thousand, he was struggling with his energy. Despite feeling drained, he managed to complete the ten thousand bows. However, nothing happened. Namsang said, "What? Nothing happened? All my efforts were for nothing!" He began to cry, but then he heard a noise. Turning his head, he saw a door opening, revealing stairs. Upon seeing this, he smiled and said, "Oh, it worked!" He proceeded to go down the stairs.
When he reached the bottom, he found himself in a dark room. Using his qi energy, he illuminated the space and saw a stone tablet with a pill resting on it. The inscription on the tablet stated that consuming the pill would help one cultivate to the peak of the foundation stage and then allow them to enter the core formation realm. Namsang was already at the early stage of foundation and began to cultivate.
He cultivated for ten to twenty years, and after forty years, he broke through to the mid-stage of foundation. He did not give up; he continued to cultivate through all seasons—spring, winter, and summer. After sixty years, he broke through to the late stage of foundation. Now over 200 years old, he realized he had only a hundred years left, so he needed to cultivate faster. He resumed his cultivation vigorously, pushing through for seventy to eighty years, but still saw no results. At ninety-five years, he was feeling desperate. However, at the age of ninety-six, he finally reached the peak stage of foundation.
After that, he picked up the pill and consumed it, then sat in a lotus position to cultivate again. After two days, a golden aura enveloped him. After five days, a core was forming in the middle of his body. After ten days, the core finally formed, and he broke through to the core formation realm.
