CHAPTER 1: THE MISSION BEGINS
The Helios-7 shuttle descended toward Kepler-186f, a distant planet holding the ruins of an ancient alien civilization.
Inside, Dr. Elias Carter studied the holographic display. "This signal has been transmitting for thousands of years. We need to find out why."
Pilot Ren Nakamura guided the ship through thick clouds. As they broke through, the crew gasped—colossal black monoliths, covered in glowing alien symbols, stretched across the barren land.
"We're the first humans here," whispered Valerie Reed.
Elias's pulse quickened.
Or so they thought.
They thought they had uncovered the truth—until the pieces no longer fit. The deeper they dug, the more impossible it seemed. And just when they believed they were in control, the world around them shifted. Something far greater was waiting in the shadows… watching, waiting, and ready to change everything they knew about reality.
___
The Helios-7's ramp lowered, and Elias stepped onto the surface of Kepler-186f. The air was thin but breathable.
Towering monoliths pulsed with faint blue light, their alien inscriptions flickering like a dying signal.
Valerie traced a symbol with her gloved hand. "It's… reacting."
Alan checked his scanner. "No power source detected, but—"
His device went dead.
A deep hum vibrated through the air.
Then—the ground trembled.
One of the monoliths shifted, stone grinding against stone.
The ruins weren't abandoned.
Something had just woken up.
To be continued…
