Chapter 23 - Infiltrating Konoha, Grave Robbing

-----

-----

Nighttime.

Konoha Village.

Uchiha Clan District.

A shadowy figure easily slipped past the barriers.

Following the layout of the Uchiha district, the figure moved deeper into Konoha.

Draped in a black cloak, the figure concealed the golden battle armor underneath.

It was Ron.

He had no choice—Tony just loved gold and red.

If Ron hadn't put his foot down, the armor would've been even shinier.

So, he had to cover it up with a cloak.

Ron had the memories of dozens of Uchiha members, one of whom was even a Jonin.

For him, walking through the Uchiha district felt like returning home.

He kept his presence hidden, swiftly making his way out of the district.

His destination: Konoha's cemetery.

Although the original story never specified where Hashirama Senju was buried, Ron had the memories of Konoha's shinobi.

He knew exactly where to go.

At the highest point of the cemetery, beneath a tombstone engraved with the Hokage symbol.

Not just Hashirama Senju—Tobirama Senju was buried there too.

Konoha had reclaimed Tobirama's body after the battle.

Ron's target was their corpses.

It was a gamble.

He wasn't sure if Hashirama's body was still intact.

After all, Danzo had been experimenting on it for a long time.

There wasn't that much flesh on a human body.

Danzo had probably stripped it clean.

Orochimaru later used cloned tissue for his experiments.

But Ron was betting that the bones were still there.

As long as the bones remained, that was enough.

During the war, the village was on high alert.

The cemetery was practically deserted.

Ron arrived at the cemetery.

He headed straight for the top, where the two Hokage tombstones stood.

With a thought, he stored the tombstones in his spatial inventory.

Revealing the graves beneath.

He quickly began digging.

When two incomplete corpses emerged before him, a grin spread across Ron's face.

His gamble had paid off.

Just as he expected.

The flesh was gone, but the bones remained.

Even Tobirama's.

Damn, that guy's disciple really was ruthless.

To defile even his own master's body...

"Who's there?!"

A sudden shout rang out.

A figure leaped toward him, the air howling with the force of her strike.

A fist came crashing down, as if to shatter everything in its path.

Tsunade.

Hearing that familiar voice, Ron immediately recognized her.

His expression remained unchanged as green energy flared around him.

Eight Gates—Fifth Gate!

Gate of Limit, open!

He turned and threw a punch.

Their fists collided.

The shockwave blasted Ron's hood back, revealing his face.

"Ron?!!!"

Seeing his young and handsome face, Tsunade's pupils contracted.

She hadn't used her full strength, since they were in a cemetery.

Still, the force of the clash sent her flying back dozens of meters.

She twisted midair, landing firmly on her feet.

Ignoring her shock at Ron's strength, she glared at the disturbed graves and demanded:

"Ron, what the hell are you doing?!"

"That's my great-grandfather and granduncle's grave!"

Ron chuckled. "So what?"

"What does that have to do with me?"

"You...!" Tsunade's breath hitched.

Ron crouched and pulled the two corpses out of the ground.

"Besides, these two are your great-grandfather and granduncle?"

Seeing his disrespectful actions, Tsunade was about to stop him.

But then, she froze.

Her great-grandfather and granduncle... were just bones?

Where was the flesh?!

The Senju clan was known for their strong life force.

Especially Hashirama and Tobirama.

Even in death, their bodies shouldn't decay so easily.

Their heads were still perfectly preserved.

But their flesh...?

Seeing Tsunade's shock, Ron casually stored the two corpses in his spatial inventory.

"One was the First Hokage, the other the teacher of the Third Hokage—the Second Hokage."

"And yet, even in death, someone from Konoha dared to tamper with their bodies."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Classic Konoha."

As soon as the bodies entered his storage space, they dissolved into white mist.

Ron smiled in satisfaction.

Other corpses were useless to him.

These two were enough.

At that moment—

Numerous figures rushed toward the cemetery, leaping across rooftops.

Tsunade's burst of chakra had alerted Konoha's shinobi.

Two figures were the fastest.

One wore the Hokage's robes—Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The other had wild white hair—Jiraiya.

Ron recognized them instantly.

Jiraiya recognized him too.

"Ron Stark?!"

Landing beside the graves, Hiruzen's face darkened.

"You're Ron Stark?"

"Where are the First and Second Hokage's remains?!"

Others might not know, but he did.

Those bodies could never be seen by the public!

As he spoke, he shot a subtle glance at Tsunade.

Ron spread his hands. "Gone."

"I did you a favor and destroyed the evidence. Shouldn't you be thanking me?"

Hiruzen froze. "What nonsense are you talking about?!"

"Hurry up and hand over the remains!"

He was still trying to intimidate Ron.

But he failed to notice the growing fury on Tsunade's face.

Destroying evidence for Hiruzen?

The state of those bodies...

Was this old man responsible?

Impossible... right?

...
