This as story of a young boy named "Maximus Alexander Kaizo" This young boy has a dream to become a Royal knight to stand next to the princess and her chosen prince, in this world you find magic and magic beasts that exists to survive and kill humans, but in this world kings aren't decided by pure bloodline their decided through an academy institution but our protagonist aims to be a knight will his dream come true.
"ugh, damn my head hurts" said Max a blacked haired and crimson eyed young boy ,as he gets out of bed ,he starts dressing up wearing a Black T-shirt, Black Tracksuits with white stripes on the side and black and white shoes after that he heads downstairs to the kitchen were he sees his sister making breakfast "hey sis" said Max as he greets his sister.
"good morning Max" said Max's sister Emma " today is the day you go to the knights academy right?" "yeah today is the day of the Knight Exams" answered Max "do your best okay" said Emma "right" answered Max
3 minutes later Max is standing at the gates of the knights academy, Max is nervous to even enter but he gained some confidence and entered the academy he was guided to the hall were new students are meant to gather to do their Mana evaluation the first student was a boy named Jonathan Matthews his evaluation is 90000/90000 his evaluation was labeled an A-rank ,The second student was a girl named Elena Robinson her evaluation is 21000/2100 her evaluation was labeled a B-rank more students came and got evaluated Max came and got his evaluation it was E-class , when Max got his evaluation he was labeled the weakest knight of Arcadia, the other students ridiculed Max with his low level " why? why? why me? I can't be a royal knight with this amount of mana" Max thought to himself in disappointment, "the evaluation exam has ended go back to your homes" said the examiner, all of the students went back to their homes as Max went home he looked disappointed and sad.
He went to his room "you're kidding me 910/910 the others got 20 000/20 000 and above why me? I'm so weak" said Max in tears "well well what do we have here a little boy who is in denial" said a man emitting black mana and he starts laughing.
In the morning black Mana started to emit from his body each time his heart beats lightning sparks from him as he smiles in his sleep but when Emma opened the door everything stopped, Emma entered and woke Max up, as Max woke up he did everything he had to do at his house and he went to the academy, people looked at him as they thought Max would have gave up due to his Mana results.
"greetings students today is the second task of your knightly exams, we will be grouping each students with each other and send them to the Forest of Death for survival purposes we will be searching for three things:

You might be wondering why are we doing this, we are doing this so we can see that what is difficult in each group from the three requirements that I listed ,now time to tell you about each of your designated groups:
Group A: Maximus Kiazo(Male) , Jonathan(Male) and Elena(Female).
Group B: Ella(Female), Yami(Female) and Loki(Female)
Group C: Kevin(Male), Jackson(Male) and Ronald(Male)
And more, these are your designated groups make sure your form a strategy, buy supplies with the money the academy will give you" said the Examiner
"great he is with us" said Jonathan in disappointment, as Max feels uncomfortable when he hears Jonathan speaking about him, "why him his the weakest in mana capacity, strength and speed he'll be nothing but a hindrance" said Elena, later on group A is having a meeting at the phoenix tavern
"So what's the strategies that we'll come up with?" said Jonathan "yeah Max you think of a strategies since we will be focusing on fighting you have to be useful somehow" said Elena ,so after they were done criticizing Max, they came up with a plan.
"Are you sure with the plan Jonathan?" asked Max " I agree with Jonathan ,Max stop complaining you are just useless" said Elena "sure" said Max in disappointment.
Later that day the other requirements for the success of the survival exam.
"Good day students nice to meet you again I hope that all of you have decided on a strategy because the other requirements are very dangerous to acquire:

These are the three items needed are needed in order for a successful hunt and you pass to the final task and all students are to stay in the academy dorms in groups too dismissed" said The examiner
In the dorms "Jonathan so what are we going to do about who is going to share a bed with Elena I know I am not doing that" said Max " Well I'm not either" said Jonathan as they were thinking they both decided theirs is only one way to fix this situation, Rock, Paper, Scissors it was an intense battle with a draw of 3 to 3 the winner was…. Max , "NOOOOOOOO!!" yelled Jonathan "Yeeeeeeeeees!!" yelled Max
Jonathan was in tears as he entered the room and Max was laying a bed on the floor in joy and sleeps, the next day Max is awake and getting the supplies ready and woke up both Jonathan and Elena and they started to get ready ,Max wore light armor, Jonathan wore heavy armor and Elena wore light armor, and they head outside of the dormitory to the gathering hall to be teleported to the heart of the Forest of Death.
"ok students the time for survival is near be ready and make sure you don't die" said the Examiner "Huh d-did she say we could d-d-die" said Max in fear "no time to think twice you useless moron" said Elena, they were teleported in the heart of the Forest and all the students started to scatter in their own ways with their groups
"were in the forest of death, why am I so thrilled to be here" said Max, both Jonathan and Elena looked at Max with a confused look "what the hell are you talking about" said the confused Jonathan and in response to what Jonathan said Max just chuckled a little.
"three items and each item are from S-rank beasts with our current team we should start with the black boar and increase our levels so we can be able to fight against the great serpent and the white tiger" said Elena
"your right Elena" agrees Max "of course I am right unlike you" said Elena "I feel left out here" said Jonathan, the group start moving Max and Jonathan mumbling between themselves talking about girls and their special skills but Elena saw that Max and Jonathan are too close
"since when did you two get so close to each other?" asked Elena "haven't we told you that we grew up in the same neighborhood we are actually childhood friends" Answered Jonathan
"oh so that's how it is I almost thought you were Homosexual but I was just over thinking it" Said Elena
Hours of darkness came so Max and this group decided to set up camp for the night and Max volunteered to stand guard, as the rest of the group was asleep Max was training by fighting low level goblins and fire wolves, in the middle of Max's training he was attacked by 4 great serpents one was red ,two were blue and one was yellow , when he saw this he was blocked from waking Jonathan and Elena.
Max knew that the serpents only separated the weak from the strong so he had no choice but to fight the great serpents but Max was at a disadvantage he was only an F-rank and great serpents are S-rank so even if he fought he was going to lose "Damn it damn it I'm still weak I can't win, but I can't give up my sister will cry if I do, lets do this" said Max talking to himself and he smiles and he takes his stance grabbing his sword and charges towards the red one which is the oldest and draws his sword and slashes but it blocks and another one attacks him which was the yellow one and the two blue ones did coordinated attacks which were fast for Max, Max tries his best to block but the attacks are too fast and strong for him.
Attack after attack, Max tries his best to block each attack but he can't keep up and the red one charges towards Max and it bites his right arm and Max screams in pain and a special attack called "heavens roar" which forces Jonathan and Elena awake which dispels the paralysis mist that came with the four snakes.
"What happened? I feel a little drowsy" said Elena " MAX!!!" yelled Jonathan as he charges toward the red serpent and attacks its left eye, it lets go of Max's arm, Elena heads towards Max " ALL HEAL" said Elena and heals Max's arm.
" hang in there Max it's going to be alright" said Jonathan and he stands up and his body starts to immerse flames and his sword immerses lightning, he charges towards the red one first and slashes its neck, he was able to cut its head off because it was tired, Jonathan continues to charge towards the blue ones he attacks and Elena gives him buffs so he can be faster and stronger, he manages to kill both two blue serpents, he looks towards the yellow one and charges
But the yellow serpents starts talking " well that's interesting you killed my siblings you're strong so why do you protect the weak guy explain" said the yellow serpent, Jonathan is shocked that a magic beast can talk but he does not talk back ,the serpent sees that Jonathan is furious and the serpent starts turning into a human and Elena sees this and she is frozen in horror, Jonathan attacks but the serpent is too fast for him and the serpent heads for Elena and is about to throw a fist, as the serpent was about to hit Elena It saw a spark of Black lightning and sees Max grab his fist with one hand protecting Elena
"you can still move that's interesting " said The serpent, but there was no answer from Max and his appearance was different his started emitting dark aura, Max started fight the serpent he shot an ice bullet towards the serpent but It blocked him.
After that Max charged towards the serpent and throws a punch and lands directly to the serpents face and the impact sends him flying through the trees and he also comes in for a kick to the gut it lands and it overpowers the serpent and it breaks the serpents arm, "Dark Pillar" said Max as large dark pillar of fire shows up and attacks the serpent both Jonathan and Elena are witnessing Max in this form, Max starts to charge a massive amount of mana.
The groups and Instructors nearby run towards the place were there was a sudden increase of mana, they ran as fast as they can when they got their they saw that Max was the source of the sudden mana increase, Eventually the time of the Exam expired.
"the exam is hereby completed all examinees head towards the great tree!" yelled the Instructors
"aww no fun how depressing" said The serpent as it disappears leaving Max in an unknown state which leads to him going out of control not knowing between friend and foe and he heads towards a student and tries to attack, " MANA BARRIER:CAGE" said the Instructors trapping Max in a cage, screams come from the cage as fire blasts come out the cage but he can't escape, and the instructors took Max away.
And in Max mind he meets a strange entity that looks just like him, "who are you?" asks Max " I am you that's all you need to know" said the entity "but I am willing to help you with your goal of becoming a Royal Knight and the reason is that I was bored of the taking over someone's body and being evil ,I'll even form a pact with you." Said the Entity
"Sensible enough ok I agree with you I'll form a pact with you I can summon you when I call out your name which will be Void ok" said Max "Void I like that name I promise that I won't kill allies, I won't take over your body, I will always be by your side" answered Void " That was the fastest conversation I ever had and we agreed no time flat" said Max " its because we understand each other more since we are the same" said Void as Max was about to ask a question he woke up from his sleep.
As Max woke up he saw Elena lying next to his bed "Elena?" as Max thought to himself in confusion, Elena eventually woke up and saw that Max was still alive she started crying because she was happy to see that Max was still alive and well, she eventually hugs him in tears "I'm so glad that you're alive, I'm so happy" said Elena in tears
"wait what are you trying to say? What happened to the Exam? Did we pass? Is Jonathan okay? Are you okay?" asks Max with a worrisome tone, meanwhile in the staff meeting room " What just happened in the second examination?" asked one of the teachers " an awakened student this is the first time all of this even happened" answered The examiner, "Awakened?" asked one of the teachers "you don't know about the MPA?" asked the Examiner " The MPA which is also known as the Mana Personality Awakening it's a phenomenon that happens rarely to people which as the name says this phenomenon creates a whole new personality ,basically what I am trying to say is that MPAs are an exact opposite of that person" said the Principal of the academy
"so what do we do with the boy?" asked one the teachers " the weakest knight became the strongest, we do nothing" said the Principal "but sir.." said the teacher "we need him on our side not the rivals side" said the principal
The entire faculty came at decision to leave Max alone and not try anything that can harm him, the meeting ended as for the results group A was supposed to fail but due to the amount of serpent fangs and scales and the recent appearance of a humanoid serpent they were given a second chance at the final exam which was the grand tournament.
It is scheduled a few weeks ahead so all of the candidates are training to be the best and win the tournament, those who win the tournament will be rewarded with 20 silver and 90 gold coins along with a bachelor pass, this pass allows the winner to go on a date with the princess anytime and any day, and on second place that person will get 20 silver and 70 gold coins and at third place will get 10 silver and 50 gold coins.
As for Max he was deep in the forest of beasts training for the upcoming tournament, he trained for two whole days with no rest "YO! Boss man what's popping?" asked Void "Hey Void so far it's going good I'm busy practicing Mana control and my sword arts what about you" Said Max "I'm touched that you even care, well wanna hear a joke" said Void "sure let's hear it" said Max " a person was doing a speech and he heard his zip going down what did he do?" asked Void "Yeah let's leave it there I don't want to hear anymore" answered Max "aww come on give it a try" Said Void "No I won't" Said Max and he continues practicing for the whole day, when he was done he headed back home.
"I'm home" said Max "Welcome home big brother" Said Void "I swear to god I'm going to kill you" said Max, Max starts heading towards the dinner table to check for Emma but she wasn't their when he went to the living room he saw Emma and Jonathan talking, Max though there was something more to this conversation so he listened In their conversation when he heard the word "Love" and "you".
He used stealth to sneak up to Jonathan and grabbed his head "Care to fill me in this conversation Jonathan" said Max "Uhh hey Max how are you doing" Said Jonathan "Well it was fine till I saw my Best friend confess to my sister, so are you ready to die" Said Max " Ok let me tell you something ok chill put down the dagger and lets talk" Said Jonathan "I think we talked enough for today don't you think" said Max
Emma eventually got Max to calm down and started to tell Max what they were talking about " your one lucky guy Jonathan you could have died" Said Max, Jonathan starts explaining that he has a crush on a girl named Yuu Masuhara, and Max starts to understand the situation "ohh ok see you later" Said Max.
Max went straight to bed and had good night's rest, the next morning Max saw Jonathan in the kitchen with Emma "Care explaining what's happening here" Said Max "Oh hey Max" Said Jonathan "You sure had the time of your life didn't you, you're lucky that there's an open grave" Said Max "Uhh Max calm down" Said Jonathan "Calm down? You got laid with my sister and you got the nerve to tell me to calm down" Said Max "Laid with Jonathan who has the guts to do that" Said Emma "ouch that's gotta hurt" said Void after brutally dissing Jonathan Max headed to the forest and trained, after 2 weeks the tournament is about to begin and all the contestants.
"good day contestants today is the day of the tournament and each battle will be 2 rounds and the winner will be enrolled in the academy and the loser will not be enrolled if the Principal does not accept you in the school" Said The instructor, "Now time to start the tournament"
The tournament started and each fight was better than the last, then it was the battle of each of the members of Group A first was Elena VS Sarah
The fight is about to start Elena warms up and sets her fighting stance same for Sarah the ref screams "Begin" Elena charges with a wooden sword and enchants it with strength and Sarah blocks by coping her move slash after slash Sarah blocked all of her attacks, Eventually Sarah starts attacking back and even shoots fire balls.
Elena yells "Impale her Shinigami" and a huge grim reaper appears behind her "a Silver Sword Release " Said Sarah, The battle continues and Elena starts fighting again and she fights and she slashes a wave that Sarah can't block the attack and the slash hit her and Elena was the winner.
A few more matches came after Elena's match then it was Jonathan match but it ended so quickly it looked so easy then it was the last match of the Exam it was Maximus VS Robin from group Z
