Chapter 9 - Work smart & Book passive

Myrul and Emilia ventured into the jungle, carrying the materials they had gathered from the village. Myrul explained each step carefully, making sure Emilia understood the process.

"First, we need to find a spot where chickens usually eat. They're often near food sources like fruit trees or damp soil where worms are plentiful," He said, scanning the area.

Soon, they found chicken footprints. "Emilia, look at this! These are footprints from a kampung chicken. They're harder to catch than the chickens we're used to, but their meat is pure and delicious," He explained, pointing to the tracks.

"Now, let's set the trap here,"

-----

Steps to Set the Trap:

1. Tie a Noose Knot:

Myrul tied a noose knot at the end of the rope. He placed the noose on the ground, slightly suspending it to match the chicken's movement pattern. The other end of the rope was secured to a sturdy tree branch.

2. Create a Trigger System:

Using thin sticks, Myrul built a trigger mechanism. He balanced a stick horizontally so that when disturbed, it would release the noose, tightening around the chicken's leg.

3. Add Bait:

Myrul placed fruit near the trap to attract the chicken. "Chickens love this kind of food," he whispered to Emilia.

4. Disguise the Trap:

He used leaves, grass, and dirt to camouflage the trap, making it blend into the surroundings. " We don't want the chicken to suspect anything," He said, carefully avoiding leaving any human scent.

Once the trap was set, He stepped back and smiled at Emilia. "Now, we wait. If we're lucky, we'll have fresh chicken for dinner tonight!"

Emilia clapped her hands softly, her eyes wide with excitement.

Myrul and Emilia moved away from the trap, giving it time to work. "Now, let's wait until night. While we wait for the chicken to take the bait, we can start building a coop. Hopefully, we'll catch both a male and a female so we can breed them instead of eating them right away,"

They returned to the village, and Myrul found a shaded area near the edge of the settlement. "This spot is perfect—it's quiet and comfortable for the chickens," he said, surveying the area.

Building a Simple Wooden Chicken Coop

Myrul gathered the villagers and explained the plan. Together, they collected the necessary materials and began constructing the coop step by step.

Materials Needed:

1. Wooden planks (for walls, floor, and roof)

2. Wooden beams or posts (for the frame)

3. Hinges and latch (for the door)

4. Roofing material ( wooden shingles)

5. Straw or wood shavings (for bedding)

Steps to Build the Coop:

1. Build the Base Frame:

Myrul and the villagers cut wooden beams to create a rectangular base frame (4 ft x 3 ft).

They secured the corners with nails and elevated the base slightly off the ground using bricks to prevent moisture.

2. Add the Floor:

Wooden planks were attached to the base frame to create a solid floor, ensuring no gaps for predators to enter.

3. Construct the Walls:

They built four walls: two longer (4 ft x 2 ft) and two shorter (3 ft x 2 ft). The walls were attached to the base frame, with a small opening covered by wire mesh for ventilation.

4. Add a Door:

A small door (1 ft x 1.5 ft) was cut into one wall and attached with hinges. A latch was added for security.

5. Build the Roof:

A sloped roof was created using diagonal wooden beams, covered with plywood and corrugated metal for waterproofing.

6. Add Nesting Boxes:

Inside the coop, a small wooden box (12 in x 12 in) was installed for hens to lay eggs, filled with straw for comfort.

7. Install Perches:

A wooden pole was attached horizontally inside the coop for the chickens to roost on.

8. Add Bedding:

Straw and wood shavings were spread on the coop floor for comfort and moisture absorption.

9. Place Food and Water Containers:

Feeders and waterers were installed inside the coop, ensuring they were clean and accessible.

By the time the coop was finished, the sun was setting, and the villagers admired their work. "This coop will help us raise chickens sustainably. No more waiting for hunts—we'll have fresh eggs and meat whenever we need it," He said proudly.

Emilia clapped her hands, excited to see the chickens that would soon live in the coop.

Suddenly, time froze. Myrul sighed, knowing exactly what was coming. "Not again," he muttered, expecting the mysterious book to appear.

As if on cue, the book materialized in the air, glowing faintly. Words began to appear on its pages:

"Reward for Sharing Knowledge:

- Strength: 10 → 20

- Intelligence: 70 → 80

- Speed: 10 → 20

- New Artifact Unlocked:

- Cincin of Resilience (Passive):

- Can absorb unlimited damage without dying.

- Activates once per day.

Myrul stared at the book, both impressed and confused. "So, teaching the villagers how to build a chicken coop and set traps gives me a boost in stats and a powerful artifact? This book really works in mysterious ways," he thought.

The Cincin of Resilience materialized in his hand, a simple yet elegant ring with a faint glow. Myrul slipped it onto his finger, feeling a surge of energy. "This could come in handy,"

Before the book disappears it type good luck make my world great again .

Time continue as usual .

As the day came to an end, Myrul instructed the villagers to help him move his belongings and Emilia's things to his new hut. "Take all your items and clothes. From now on, we'll live together," he told Emilia.

Emilia eagerly ran to her old hut and gathered all her belongings. Once everything was packed, they moved to the new hut, which was slightly larger and more comfortable.

When they entered, they were surprised to see Eugene already there, leaning casually against the wall.

"Ehh, why are you here, Eugene?" Myrul asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm your wife, so wherever you go, I must protect you. A man can't live alone, you know," Eugene replied with a smirk. Then, her eyes fell on Emilia. "Who's this kid?"

Myrul proudly gestured to Emilia. "Haha, right now, she's our daughter. So, you can't do anything fishy after this," he said, half-joking.

Eugene looked at Emilia and extended her hand. "Come here, kid. I'll be your mother," she said warmly.

Emilia hesitated for a moment but then ran into Eugene's arms, hugging her tightly. As they embraced, Eugene gave him a wink and said, "It's not a problem."
