Chapter 1 - Intro. to the characters

1) Ethan Carter (The Ex-Detective) :

Once a top detective, he went missing while investigating a serial killer known as "The Black Surgeon."

He wakes up in the asylum, remembering nothing… except that he's the only one who can't see his own file.

Dark Twist : The last case he worked on? It was about one of the other five strangers in the asylum.

2) Dr. Lillian Graves (The Psychiatrist) :

She worked at the asylum before it was shut down and knows things the others don't.

Intelligent but secretive—was she one of the doctors… or one of the patients?

Dark Twist : She once conducted illegal experiments on criminals, trying to erase their minds.

3) Daniel Holt (The Hacker) :

A brilliant coder wanted by the FBI for hacking classified government files.

He discovers all their memories were wiped intentionally—someone is controlling what they remember.

Dark Twist : He finds his own death record, which says he died five years ago. But he remembers waking up just yesterday.

4) Maya Ren (The Journalist) :

She was investigating a secret government program called "Lazarus" before she vanished.

Suspicious of everyone, she records everything in a hidden notebook.

Dark Twist : In her notebook, she finds a page she doesn't remember writing—it warns her not to trust herself.

5) Vincent "Vince" Doyle (The Ex-Soldier) :

A tough military veteran, trained to survive anything—but he doesn't remember his last mission.

His body is covered in fresh scars… scars he doesn't recall getting.

Dark Twist : He keeps hearing a child's voice whispering, "Daddy, you promised you'd save me…" But he never had a child.

6) Elise Monroe (The Quiet One) :

The youngest in the group, she barely speaks and seems too calm for the situation.

She has violent nightmares of people screaming in pain.
