Chapter 11: The Call of the Orishas

As we charged forward to face the Shadow, I could feel a strange energy building up inside me. It was as if the Ori was stirring, responding to the threat that loomed before us.

Babatunde seemed to sense it too, because he turned to me with a look of intense focus. "Ade, it's time," he said. "It's time to call on the Orishas."

I didn't know what he meant, but I nodded anyway. I was willing to try anything to defeat the Shadow.

Babatunde began to chant, his voice rising and falling in a hypnotic rhythm. The words were unfamiliar to me, but they seemed to hold a deep power and significance.

As he spoke, the air around us began to change. The wind picked up, and the trees seemed to lean in, as if they were listening to Babatunde's words.

And then, in a flash of light, a figure appeared before us. He was a towering warrior, with skin as black as coal and eyes that glowed like embers. He was dressed in armor that seemed to be made of pure light, and he carried a sword that shone with a fierce, otherworldly energy.

"This is Ogun's emissary," Babatunde said, his voice filled with reverence. "He has been sent to aid us in our battle against the Shadow."

The warrior regarded us with a cold, calculating gaze. "I am here to fight," he said, his voice like thunder. "But do not think that I will go easy on you, mortals. I will expect you to keep up with me, or to get out of my way."

I felt a surge of fear at his words, but Babatunde just nodded calmly. "We will not disappoint you," he said.

And with that, the battle began. The warrior charged forward, his sword flashing in the sunlight. Babatunde and I followed close behind, our own weapons at the ready.

We fought our way through the Shadow's minions, the warrior cutting a swath through them like a hot knife through butter. I was amazed by his skill and strength, and I found myself struggling to keep up with him.

But Babatunde seemed to be in his element, fighting with a ferocity and precision that I had never seen before. Together, the three of us fought our way deeper into the heart of the Shadow, determined to emerge victorious.
