"Holy shit…" Elara whispered.
It was happening!
Finally, after everything she had been through, her wish had been granted.
She would have the chance to live in a fantasy world, explore unknown lands, develop incredible abilities, and reach heights she could never have imagined in her past life.
"What three desires lie buried in your heart?…" the entity asked once more.
Now that she understood her situation, answering was much easier.
"I don't want to be human anymore. I want to be better than them. A thousand times better. I want to soar to heights they could never hope to reach."
The entity remained silent for a long moment before responding:
"…Granted."
If Elara could see the being speaking, she would notice a wide smile forming on its ancient face.
Though the reason for that smile… only the entity knew.
"I still have two more, right?"
"Indeed…"
Elara pushed aside the strange unease she felt and thought about her next wish.
"I want absolute mastery over all magic."
If she was going to live in a fantasy world, then she couldn't limit herself to physical skills. Being a warrior was fine, but mages always held the real power. She didn't want to rely on weapons or external tools. She wanted knowledge of magic itself to flow through her mind as if she had been born with it.
"…Granted."
For a second, the entity's voice sounded slightly weaker, but Elara ignored it and focused on her final wish.
This was the one she felt most embarrassed to ask for… but she knew it was essential.
"I want…" she lowered her voice. "I want a mental library."
"What…?"
"A mental library," she repeated more confidently. "A space within my mind where I can access all the knowledge of the world. Books on magic, history, combat strategies… everything. And I want it to grow over time, filling with whatever I learn."
Suddenly, she felt something strange within her consciousness, as if it were being "opened" and explored. She instinctively knew the entity was searching through her mind to better understand her request.
This surprised her.
She had assumed that cosmic beings like this one would already know about concepts like systems and mental libraries without needing to probe her thoughts.
Maybe… this being wasn't exactly what she thought it was.
"It is done…"
The voice now sounded even fainter, as if it were weakening.
Suddenly, Elara's ethereal body began to glow with a warm white light.
Instinctively, she knew what was happening.
She was leaving.
She was about to leave behind her old life and step into something greater than she could have ever imagined.
"Goodbye, Earth! Goodbye, humanity! Goodbye, lonely nights!"
With her final farewell, Elara vanished in a flash of light.
The entity, now alone in the darkness of the void, let out a soft chuckle as it recalled the young woman's enthusiasm.
"Don't disappoint me now… I have placed great expectations on you…"
