Chapter 1 - Chapter 01: New seeds sprout

The origin of myths is always something truly magical. A hero from the outside world trying to fight against the cruel fate of the world. A nation that sowed hope and was continued by great people.

On the continent of Vocalyas, there was a war between nations. Was it caused by the Earthlings? But who would have thought that the war would arise from the original people of that continent.

Hopeland and Legion had been sworn enemies for hundreds of years. Through hundreds of wars, thousands of commanders led the fight. Until a peace treaty was signed in the early years of the Lindiana Era, year 798. And so Hopeland lived in peace for more than 400 years after.

But that was a thing of the past...

Hopeland, March 16, 1205...

The Legion had reached the border of Hopeland, and had launched a surprise attack on the city of Lavit...

A month earlier...

The intelligence ran to the headquarters to report.

"The Legion Empire is approaching the border of Hopeland, 10km away! The enemy's artillery and soldiers are moving along the west side of Lavit!"

The generals discussed with each other, and someone stood up and slammed his hand on the table in anger.

"I knew they would come! If those people didn't listen to us, it wouldn't have come to this!"

The one who spoke was Lieutenant General Bismarck Montiel.

"If they're already this close, there's not much time left. Immediately report to the leader. We'll all handle this." He added to vent his anger.

Although General Bismarck said so, there were still some people who were worried about him.

"But, Lieutenant General, what about that person's orders?"

"He has to obey them, right? Old Helias will be even more furious if he doesn't listen to us on this urgent matter."

"Humph, that James, why doesn't he just die a little earlier? That bastard always secretly kills our people."

"You should speak a little more softly, Major General! Let Mr. Bismarck handle this matter smoothly!"

That same day, Bismarck informed the Prime Minister of Hopeland, James Park, who was still sitting calmly with the newly brewed tea set. James only took a sip of tea, his hand still stroking the fur of his beloved lapdog, as if nothing had happened.

"Lieutenant General! I understand your worries. But as a prime minister, I must verify this matter accurately. The defense budget is not something that can be used haphazardly or arbitrarily."

Bismarck was so angry that he wanted to punch James Park in the face, but in his heart he thought of letting someone else deal with him instead. He suppressed his anger, took a Migit from his pocket with both hands and threw it at James's feet. His dog immediately barked a few times.

"Alright, Prime Minister! If you care more about your position than this country, then I'm sorry, I don't want to bother your precious son in your arms."

"Come on, this isn't the first time you've been upset with me! But I think your Hopeland army can handle them without my calling. Oh, and of course, with Lord Helias too!"

The conversation became deadlocked once again, and Bismarck left without saying anything. Although he had a lot of military power in his hands, he did not dare to bet on his fellow soldiers to overthrow James Park or his political party. Partly because he was favored by the leader Lindiana Netsy, and partly because he had to respect Lindiana.

The news reported that a major conflict would occur, the risk of war was inevitable. The Centenia War Council declared its support for fighting against the Legion army, and Prime Minister James did not refute this. Then the war announcement was made, the military officers, along with the Governors and the Governor Generals, issued orders to recruit soldiers from all over Hopeland.

Soldiers gathered from all over, and within three days, a large number of soldiers were mobilized, preparing to advance to the cities of Lavit and Legey.

In the capital city of Vincent, the 4th Supreme Leader of Hopeland, Lindiana Nesty, stood up to speak before the parliament.

"Intelligence reports that the Legion is preparing to advance close to our border. With their provocation and the destruction of the hundred-year peace treaty between our two countries, we need to quickly complete our battle plan against them. I need you all here to discuss this matter."

Major General Henderick Von Helias patted his chest, causing his medals to sway.

"It's been a long time since I've been in battle. If you allow me, I want to send troops to circle around Legey City, surround their direction of attack, and prevent their reinforcements from coming to our rescue!"

Helias was a former armored soldier, and was later promoted by the Leader to be the commander of the Armored Division. Although Helias was enthusiastic, Prime Minister James firmly disagreed.

"The army must plan their operations together. Isn't it a waste of effort for you to advance alone?"

Helias was furious when he heard James say that, his beard standing straighter.

"You're only worried about your money, the army has its own style. If we don't advance and attack quickly, how can we respond to the enemy's reinforcements!"

The two argued fiercely. While the leader was still thinking, a white-haired girl in a black officer's uniform appeared. She only whispered a few words to the leader, her mouth smiling gently and discreetly.

"Since you don't want to go to war, then please listen to my opinion, Sir Lindiana! Why don't we try to summon them, the people from the third world?"

The one who spoke was Elena Kosheleva, one of the high-ranking officers of the Hopeland army. At the same time, he is the leader's right-hand man and advisor.

The people of the third world are the people of the real world outside. They are called Earth people. The heroes in the legends or those involved in the chaotic history of Vocalyas.

Leader Lindiana and Elena are both Earth people, Lindiana has been the leader of Hopeland for 600 years (the age of Earth people in this world is almost "biological immortality" or eternal youth). And perhaps that is why Lindiana is the longest-serving leader of Hopeland, both before and after.

The leader agreed and told everyone to discuss the plan among themselves, then went with Elena. Arriving at the Hopenad leader's office, the leader opened a secret door. It opened a path below, stretching to the eastern city of Wave. This is where the Earth people from the third world are summoned - the Reality and Illusion room.

It was unknown how many Reality and Illusion rooms existed in the Vocalyas continent, but surely every country would have one such Earth summoning room.

The two of them opened the door to the Reality and Illusion room. It was empty, with nothing around it, only a single wall with white bookcases, surrounded by books written in Latin and hieroglyphs. The bottom layer of the bookcases were vials of blood from monks, summoners, or priests.

Lindiana drew a circle with the blood of summoners, then picked up a piece of paper written in Latin from the books. Lindiana chanted a spell on the paper and threw it into the drawing. Then the leader picked up the ancient Hopeland script and chanted the spell.

As soon as he finished reading, the entire room suddenly shook, the door inside the room was locked, and nothing could be heard from outside. Then a flash of light from the circle flashed, illuminating the entire room for a few minutes. When the light went out, an Earth warrior appeared before the two with a torn hunter's outfit.

Elena was excited when she saw the Earth man and greeted him warmly.

"Welcome to the land of freedom, you are the chosen one to come here. Tell me your identity!"

The Earth man looked straight into Elena's eyes, which the leader thought meant that he would serve her in the future. He also looked old, his eyes were sharp with a large amount of energy inside him. The Earth man then bowed to both of them in the style of the Nazi party.

"It is an honor to serve you, I am Dariel Rojas of Italy! This is probably my second time here!"

Both Lindiana and Elena were surprised by Rojas's pleasant demeanor and his words.

"A second time here? I have never heard of any Earthlings being able to return to this world after they die."

"Sir! My own coming here was also a premonition from a previous dream. I will faithfully dedicate all my knowledge and power to you!"

Elena immediately felt happy and laughed out loud with delight, she then heroically turned to the leader and clapped her hands in congratulations.

"You did it, sir! But the summoning is not just for him, will others come?"

Lindiana held Elena's hand and looked at her passionately.

"They will come here, it is their destiny in this world... just like us! But thinking about it, maybe they will be more for you than Elena!"

With that, Lindiana smiled happily and walked up to the city. But Elena stayed for a while, her face suddenly brightened. Elena smiled at the words that seemed to be challenging.

"Their fate is also my fate. Great! I am Elena Kosheleva! From now on, I am your supreme commander, Rojas!"

...

In Wave City, when the news of the approaching invaders was received, many people joined the army. From young men from wealthy families to poor beggars who were still healthy. From ordinary people to the Elves, Demi-humans...

A young soldier was calling out the roll call of those who had joined. He was instructing the children, the teenagers who had volunteered to join the volunteer regiment.

"I want to join the army too, let me join too!"

The soldier looked at the teenager, his white hair giving off a strange scent with his clear black eyes. A gaze of passion for pursuing his dream in front of him.

"American? Where are you from, how can I understand what you're saying?"

The teenager didn't say anything and just walked inside. A cold wind blew past the soldier's shoulder. He felt the strangeness of that teenager. But at this moment, he shouldn't pay attention to those things anymore and immediately turned to call the next person.

Another teenager also walked over. His black hair was swept to the side, there was a small scar under his eye. A light blue light just passed by that teenager.

"Ngoo... Hiz..."

"It's Ngo Quang Huy! Damn it! Don't you know how to read?"

The young man spoke in an annoyed tone. It seemed that many foreigners often mispronounced his name.

"These days, young people talk very arrogantly! You should be careful with your words!"

Huy immediately pulled the soldier back, his mouth whispering.

"Last time you paid for my meal, so here..."

Huy fumbled in his pocket for a tightly tied bundle of money. He just stuffed it into the soldier's shirt in front of many people. The soldier was also dumbfounded.

"Hey, don't do that here! Where did you find them?"

"I told you! A group of robbers nearby. I conveniently took them. I'll pay you back!"

The soldier sighed and said nothing. After that, Huy signed the enlistment papers, his luggage was empty. Only a blue jacket with black trousers. Huy also happily said to that soldier.

"That's it! Maybe when I get back I'll see if you can be promoted to general, bearded brother!"

That soldier frowned and mumbled.

"You should call me Zanletel! If I survive Legey, I'll treat you to a party!"

Huy laughed loudly, raised his finger in a salute, and quickly got into the car. The volunteer army had only a few people. Perhaps no one wanted to be a soldier like Huy. But as a special person from the third world, he was forced to follow its call.

Huy looked at the white-haired teenager from earlier, his eyes still staring at something. His face was expressionless to the point of being uncomfortable. But this westerner's appearance was quite handsome. Huy immediately went to greet him.

"Ngo Quang Huy is 14 years old from Vietnam, and you?"

The young man came to talk to Huy.

"His name is Alex Horvath, an American of British descent. I came to Hopeland before through a travel agent. You don't look like a Hopelander?"

Huy was also surprised, he immediately showed interest in this "fellow countryman".

"I was just a normal student, I accidentally found a piece of paper in my book. When I held that piece of paper, I appeared here. I don't know where this is. I don't know anyone here, in my head I'm always urged by the so-called war, it still echoes inside my head. Maybe this is the reason we met!"

The two talked continuously without stopping, the car kept moving. By the time it was almost dark, they had arrived at the place the soldier had pointed out. The two went to the officer and presented the paper the soldier had given them. The officer finished reading and led the two to a room, a space reserved for young recruits.
