Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Awakening

The classroom was filled with quiet murmurs, students lost in their own worlds. Near the window, an 18-year-old young man sat, staring blankly outside. His sharp eyes reflected the drifting clouds as if his mind, too, was wandering through the sky.

His name was Asura.

"Asura, go and wash your face. Be fresh."

A soft, sweet voice pulled him back to reality. He turned to see his teacher, Ms. Aiko, smiling at him—beautiful, elegant, with a warmth in her eyes. Her long black hair swayed slightly as she tilted her head, waiting for his response.

"Yes, ma'am."

Asura stood up, hands in his pockets, and walked toward the door. As soon as he stepped into the hallway, two girls from his class approached him with excited expressions.

"Hey, Asura! Want to hang out later?" one of them asked, flipping her hair.

"Yeah, let's go somewhere fun!" the other added eagerly.

Asura didn't respond. He kept walking, his expression unreadable.

"Ugh, how rude!" the first girl pouted.

The second girl sighed. "Still… he's so handsome."

Ignoring their whispers, Asura stepped outside. Just then, his phone rang. He picked it up.

"Where are you, bro?" came a familiar voice.

"I'm on my way."

With that, he walked toward his Kawasaki Ninja H2—a sleek, jet-black beast of a machine. The moment he started the engine, a deep, powerful roar echoed through the campus. Several students turned to look, some in admiration, others in jealousy.

Asura smirked slightly, revved the throttle, and sped off toward his meeting place—unaware of the chaos waiting for him.

A Fight in the Shadows

When Asura arrived, the atmosphere was tense. Two groups stood facing each other in an abandoned alleyway, their glares sharp like daggers. He recognized his friends, standing with clenched fists, facing off against a gang of thugs.

Then, the first punch was thrown.

A full-blown fight erupted.

Asura dodged a swing, countering with a sharp elbow strike to his attacker's face. His friends fought back, but the enemy had an advantage—they were using hidden weapons. Knives flashed in the dim light, fists landed with sickening force, and within minutes, Asura's group was overwhelmed.

Pain shot through his ribs as he staggered backward, blood trickling from a wound on his cheek. He clenched his jaw, barely keeping himself on his feet.

Then, the sound of police sirens blared in the distance.

"Tch. Lucky bastards." One of the gang members cursed before they quickly retreated into the shadows.

Asura exhaled, his breath ragged. Just then, a familiar voice called out.

"Asura!"

He turned to see Yuki, his childhood friend, rushing toward him. Her short, silver hair swayed with each step, and worry was clear in her violet eyes.

"You're hurt! Come on, we need to get you to a hospital."

He wanted to protest, but before he could, she grabbed his arm and dragged him away.

A Mysterious Encounter

Later that night, on the hospital rooftop, Asura sat on the edge, staring at the city lights. The cool breeze brushed against his face, but his mind was elsewhere.

Yuki stood beside him, arms crossed.

"Your wounds… they're already healing."

She watched in shock as faint mist rose from his skin, his injuries closing at an unnatural speed.

Asura sighed. "It's always been like this."

Before she could respond, a cold, eerie voice echoed from behind them.

"So, you are the chosen one."

Both Asura and Yuki turned, their bodies tensing.

A man stood in the shadows. Silver hair, piercing golden eyes, and an aura of pure danger.

"Who the hell are you?" Asura asked, his voice calm but alert.

The stranger smirked.

"A demon. My name is White Flash. I'm here to take you."

Asura narrowed his eyes. "Tch. Get lost, freak. I don't have time for this."

White Flash's smirk vanished. "Did you just call me a freak?"

His eyes glowed with fury. In an instant, he vanished—then reappeared right in front of Asura.

A brutal punch slammed into Asura's stomach, knocking the air from his lungs. He barely had time to react before White Flash struck again, sending him crashing into the rooftop floor.

"Stop! You're going to kill him!" Yuki shouted.

White Flash glanced at her, amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Oh? Maybe I should deal with you first."

In a blur, he moved toward Yuki—his hand reaching for her throat.

Something inside Asura snapped.

His vision turned red. A surge of power, raw and uncontrollable, erupted from deep within. His body pulsed with energy, his instincts screaming to protect Yuki.

Before White Flash could touch her, Asura moved. Faster than he ever had before.

His fist connected with White Flash's jaw, sending the demon stumbling back.

White Flash wiped the blood from his lips, his eyes now filled with shock.

"What…?! His power just awakened?"

Asura charged at him again, attacking with newfound strength. But his power was still unstable, his movements wild. He fought harder than ever, yet he lacked control.

White Flash smirked. "You're strong... but not strong enough."

He found an opening and struck. Asura gasped as a powerful kick sent him flying backward. He hit the ground hard, his vision fading.

The Arrival of the Weapon Master

Just as White Flash prepared to finish him off—

CLANG!

A massive weapon blocked the attack.

A tall, imposing figure stood between them, gripping a giant blade. His very presence made the air feel heavier.

"That's enough, White Flash. We need him alive."

White Flash clenched his fists. "Tch. I was just getting started."

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from below—the hospital staff, alerted by the noise.

The Weapon Master glanced at White Flash. "We don't need unnecessary attention right now. Let's go."

White Flash clicked his tongue in annoyance but obeyed. In an instant, they disappeared into the night.

Yuki rushed to Asura's side, her hands trembling.

"Asura… what the hell just happened?"

Asura lay unconscious, his body still radiating faint mist.

The battle was over.

But something deep inside him had awakened.

And this was just the beginning.
