Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Sudden Change

The classroom was filled with the usual murmur of chatter, the low hum of students passing notes, whispering about the weekend, and laughing over small jokes. Raiken Tenma, with his lean and athletic build, sat near the window. The cool breeze was blowing gently, causing his smooth, mid-length black hair to flutter slightly. His eyes, dark black and piercing, gazed absentmindedly out the window, catching the soft sunlight filtering through the leaves of the trees outside. His slender frame was relaxed, his left hand resting on the desk, holding a dumbbell—he was lifting it in a rhythmic, controlled motion. His appearance was nothing extraordinary to anyone who casually observed him. He was just another student in a high school classroom, his usual preference for a clean white shirt today no different from any other. The shirt clung perfectly to his athletic physique, the sleeves rolled up just slightly, enough to reveal the faint outline of his muscles. The faint, almost hidden beauty mark under his left eye gave him a slight air of mystery, his dark gaze often making him appear distant, almost detached from the world around him.The soft clink of the dumbbell echoed under the desk, adding to the classroom's otherwise noisy atmosphere. Students were laughing, chatting about plans for the upcoming summer break, and discussing the latest trends. The atmosphere was light and carefree. Then, as the teacher entered the room, the noise suddenly died down, and the class fell into a comfortable silence. Raiken didn't even need to look up. He had already sensed her presence before anyone else had.The teacher stood in the doorway, a striking figure. She was stunning, her short black hair framing her face in a perfectly polished bob cut. Her dark eyes scanned the room with authority, her expression composed but undeniably captivating. She wore a fitted black blazer over a white shirt with subtle buttons on the inside, the pencil skirt matching her poised yet seductive style. Her presence radiated confidence, and as her gaze swept across the room, it didn't take long for every student to focus their attention on her. In her right hand, she held a book, while her left hand rested casually on her hip."Everyone, attention!" she announced, her voice commanding yet filled with excitement.Instantly, the classroom quieted, all eyes on her. Raiken leaned back in his chair, still lifting his dumbbell, his focus only partially on her. He was used to this—teachers getting excited and telling them about trips, new assignments, or whatever. The usual high school stuff."We are going on vacation!" the teacher declared, a smile playing on her lips. The class erupted in cheers, some students high-fiving each other while others clapped and shouted with joy. Raiken merely raised an eyebrow."Finally, a break..." he muttered under his breath, still not fully invested in the excitement around him.One guy near the back jumped to his feet, taking off his school uniform and revealing a brightly colored beach shirt and shorts. "Yeah! Vacation time! We're gonna party!" he shouted, his voice filled with excitement, as laughter erupted around the classroom. The teacher rolled her eyes playfully, raising a hand to calm the students. "Okay, okay. Calm down, everyone," she said with a soft chuckle. "Let me explain when and where. The trip will be—"Before she could finish her sentence, something strange happened.A green, glowing magic circle suddenly appeared beneath their feet, spiraling outward from the floor like a burst of light. The students screamed in panic, some jumping back, while others stood frozen in shock. The atmosphere in the room shifted in an instant, and Raiken's heart skipped a beat as his eyes widened."What... what is that?!" he thought, his pulse quickening as the magic circle expanded, overtaking the entire classroom. Panic spread, but Raiken remained calm, his mind racing. His instincts kicked in as he quickly jumped backward, his eyes darting toward the door."Everyone, get away from it!" a voice shouted, but it was already too late. The magic circle continued to expand, engulfing the room, until the entire classroom seemed to be consumed by its glowing green energy. The sounds of frantic students were drowned out by a strange, humming noise, growing louder by the second.Raiken's body moved on its own—he bolted toward the door, barely managing to escape the classroom before the magic circle fully enveloped it. He crashed into the hallway, out of breath, turning to look back at the classroom, now completely shrouded in glowing green light. What the hell just happened...? Raiken thought, his mind still processing the event. His heart raced as his legs carried him further down the hallway. "I... I think I know what this is. It's just like the manga... the anime I watch... People get teleported to another world..."Raiken couldn't help but chuckle nervously to himself. "Dammit... I didn't want this. I was just fine with my life—watching anime, playing games, being alone... Now this?"He let out a sigh, his calm expression unshaken, and shook his head. "I mean, they'll probably be off fighting demon kings or something... Not my problem."His lips curled into a wry smile as he pulled out his earphones and shoved them into his ears. The world outside felt like a distant memory as he closed his eyes and started walking down the hall. No school today... Nice. His footsteps echoed lightly as he walked out of the building, the cool breeze greeting him. He sighed again, enjoying the solitude. Guess I'll just chill today... he thought, walking toward the gates of the school. But as he walked, something changed.A strange green magic circle appeared in front of him, right beneath his feet. His eyes shot open, his relaxed expression faltering. "Oh no... Not me too..." he muttered. The ground beneath him trembled, and before he could react, the circle pulsed with energy, wrapping around him. The wind picked up as his surroundings blurred, the world spinning. His thoughts were a whirlwind, but his body was already falling into the light."No...!" he yelled, as everything around him was swallowed by the magic. The world spun faster and faster until, in an instant, he was falling through the sky, surrounded by rocks and a barren landscape of dust and debris. He screamed, his voice lost in the howling wind, his body tumbling uncontrollably.Where am I...?Raiken could barely grasp what had happened. All he knew was that his quiet, mundane life was over. A new world awaited him, one he didn't ask for—one filled with the unknown.
