The search led them all over town. Haruto asked everyone he met, from street vendors to random old ladies, but no one seemed to know anything about this legendary snack. That is, until they came across an old vending machine near the park.
It looked completely out of place, covered in moss, with only one button—labeled "Snack of the Gods."
"This is it! I can feel it!" Haruto declared, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Mei, ever the skeptic, took a step back. "Haruto, don't just press random buttons. What if it's broken?"
But Haruto, as usual, didn't listen. He inserted a coin and pushed the button.
A small, brightly wrapped snack fell out. Haruto eagerly tore open the wrapper, revealing... a single potato chip.
He stared at it in disbelief. "This... is the Snack of the Gods?"
Mei burst out laughing. "Are you serious? It's just one chip! You really thought this was the legendary snack?"
Haruto, though disappointed, took the chip and placed it in his mouth. He chewed slowly. To his surprise, it was the crispiest, most flavorful chip he had ever tasted.
"Okay, I admit... this is amazing." He looked at Mei. "I think we're on the right track. We need to find more."
