During the height of the summer season, August could be found in the forest grinding his level; he hoped to at least reach [level 10] before the anniversary of the village massacre.
And he did; he was almost 12 months in and a month to go before he'd reach level 10.
And during the last month of the summer season, he finally got it; that sweet, sweet sound of upgrade rang through his mind after he killed the last Commander Grade Boarat in the vicinity.
After doing so, he rushed back home and took his time butchering it.
It was now his twenty-first kill of the commander grade.
Pretty commendable is what he thought.
A little while later, when he was done with his daily chores, he went and sat on his father's favorite chair.

Interestingly enough, unlike before, August no longer had an Affliction, especially the lingering trauma.
It seemed to have healed on its own, and a new thing appeared on the Body Stat Panel, and he has mana points now. Isn't that amazing???
Although he had been using it for a couple of months now, especially when using his newly acquired skill, to use it as an experiment on some unwilling victims and when he is training.
Today though was actually his first time seeing it personally on his personal panel.
His health wasn't all one hundred percent right now, because he did do some hunting and exercise.
The fatigue affliction wasn't even there now; it seems to have healed now. That was rather quick.

Right now, he could even see his HP and MP at the top right portion of his personal panel.
What he didn't know or care about is that you could actually put a HUD that shows your HP and MP at your front; you can even customize it as to where you would put it.
But right now he was on hard mode, a.k.a. normal view like the rest of the people, and that would remain for a very long time, but hey, at least that option is just there, waiting to be used....

Later that day he went outside to get his 22nd Commander Rank Boarat kill; he was pretty surprised when he instantly killed it in one shot.

"Wait, how powerful even is my Guardian Beast?? Wasn't that like, only 1% of its power??"
He was left with a dazed look on his face as he looked outside the window and gazed at a very far distance....
