Beta frowned, her pen hovering over her journal. "Are they trying to summon another Hollow Emperor?"
"No," Alpha said, narrowing her eyes. "Something worse."
She turned to the throne, where Shadow sat, exuding an aura of absolute dominance. His fingers tapped rhythmically against the armrest, his gaze unreadable.
He had been waiting for this moment.
"So," he finally murmured, "they've chosen to make their move first?"
The room fell silent.
Then, he smirked.
