Late at night, Aarav and his wife lay on the bed, facing each other in the dim glow of the bedside lamp. Their conversations had grown more comfortable, and Aarav had begun showing his true colors—dark humor, playful teasing, and an unmistakable intensity in his gaze.
Aarav smirked, tracing an invisible pattern on her palm. "So, where do you want to go for our honeymoon?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Honeymoon? Already planning everything?"
He chuckled. "Of course. I like being prepared."
She playfully rolled her eyes. "Oh, how thoughtful. What if I say I don't want to go anywhere?"
Aarav pulled her wrist gently, making her inch closer. His voice dropped to a whisper. "Then I'll have to convince you otherwise."
She felt her cheeks warm. Aarav had a way of making everything sound both teasing and thrilling.
He continued, "So, Manali? Snow, mountains, cozy sweaters... and some time away from family."
She smirked. "You just want the cozy part."
Aarav laughed, his grip tightening slightly. "Guilty as charged."
And just like that, Manali was decided. The next day, they went shopping for their trip.
The mall was buzzing with shoppers, but Aarav had only one thing on his mind—teasing his wife.
As they walked through the aisles, he casually threw an arm around her shoulder. "You should pick something nice. I want my wife to look irresistible."
She smirked. "I always do."
Aarav chuckled, leaning in close. "True. But I want you to wear something that'll make it even harder for me to keep my hands off you."
She rolled her eyes, but her cheeks warmed at his words. She browsed through the sweaters and picked a stylish oversized cream-colored knitted sweater with pearl buttons—modern yet elegant.
"Nice choice," Aarav said, his voice dropping lower. "Now go try it on."
She stepped into the changing room, but before she could lock the door, Aarav slipped inside, pulling her against him.
Her eyes widened. "Aarav! Someone will see!"
He smirked. "I don't see anyone."
"That's because you're blind when you get like this."
He tilted her chin up. "Then guide me. Where should I look?"
She swallowed, her breath hitching. "You should be looking for the exit."
Aarav chuckled, his fingers grazing her waist. "First, give me a kiss."
"No."
His grip tightened slightly. "Then I'm not letting go."
She sighed, pressing a quick peck to his cheek. "There. Happy?"
Aarav shook his head. "Not there. On the lips."
"I said no."
"Then I'm definitely not letting you leave." His fingers played with the edge of her sweater.
She hesitated, then leaned in, brushing her lips lightly against his. The moment their lips met, Aarav deepened the kiss, his hand tangling in her hair as their breathing grew heavier.
Just as things were heating up, a loud knock made them freeze.
"Is someone inside?" a voice called from outside.
Aarav, ever the quick thinker, called back, "Yes, occupied."
The person outside scoffed. "Then lock the damn door next time." They walked away.
Inside, Aarav and his wife exchanged amused glances.
He leaned in again, but she pressed a hand over his mouth. "Enough, mister. Time to leave before we actually get caught."
Aarav sighed dramatically. "Fine, but just know—I'll get my revenge later."
She smirked. "Looking forward to it."
And with that, they stepped out of the changing room, pretending as if nothing had happened.
