January 2023
This is not a joke or something imagined. This is real.
I am not mad. I am revealing the truth. Please believe me.
Let me explain what happened.
The Discovery
November 2022
My name is Tom Thomas. I've always been an ordinary kid living in a small, quiet town. My life was predictable—school, homework, and the occasional daydream about Ann, the girl I'd had a crush on for over a year. But everything changed one rainy afternoon when I decided to clean out the attic.
Among the dusty boxes and forgotten relics of my family's past, I found it: an old, leather-bound book with the words Book of Reality etched into its cover. The book felt heavy, not just in weight but in presence. Its pages were yellowed and brittle, some torn or missing entirely. Half of the book was blank, while the other half contained strange grids of empty boxes as if waiting to be filled.
I took it to my room, thinking it might make a cool diary. Little did I know, it would change my life—and the world—forever.
The First Test
June 22, 2023
Months passed, and the book sat on my shelf, untouched. But one day, curiosity got the better of me. I opened it, and a single, crisp letter fell out. It read:
"This is the Book of Reality. You can edit your life as you wish. Use it wisely."
I laughed it off at first. It sounded like something out of a cheesy fantasy movie. But then I decided to test it. I wrote: "I want ice creams."
Later that evening, my dad came home with two giant boxes of ice cream. He explained that while walking home, he'd decided to buy a single ice cream for himself. But the shopkeeper offered him two boxes at a discount because of an upcoming power outage that would spoil the ice cream. My dad bought both boxes—one for himself and one for me. Inside the box were 30 ice creams!
I was stunned. To test the book further, I wrote: "Complete my homework." To my amazement, my pen levitated and began writing on its own, finishing my assignments in minutes.
That night, I couldn't sleep. My mind raced with possibilities. What if this book was real? What if I could change anything I wanted?
The Consequences Begin
The next day, I took the book to school. I decided to test it on something bigger. I wrote: "Ann will be my girlfriend."
Ann had always been out of my league—smart, kind, and effortlessly cool. I'd never had the courage to tell her how I felt. But after I wrote those words, she approached me during lunch and confessed she'd had a crush on me for over a year.
At first, I was thrilled. But then guilt crept in. Had I manipulated her feelings? I erased what I'd written, but Ann's feelings remained. That's when I realized the book didn't create new realities—it simply aligned events that were already possible.
The Wormhole Experiment
That evening, I watched a documentary about wormholes and parallel universes. Inspired, I wrote in the book: "Create a wormhole behind the hill."
I rode my bike to the spot, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. My friends were playing nearby, and everything looked normal. I convinced myself it was just a coincidence.
But at 9:00 PM, while having dinner with my family, the ground began to shake violently. It was an earthquake—the first one our town had ever experienced. The next morning, the news reported a massive hole had appeared behind the hill. Geologists were baffled, and many families had lost their homes.
I felt sick. My experiment had caused real harm.
The Invasion
A few days later, the ground shook again. This time, it wasn't natural. A deafening roar filled the air as a portal opened in the sky. From it emerged an army—soldiers in sleek, futuristic armor, speaking a language no one could understand. They called themselves the Vortan, and they were here to conquer Earth.
Our military was no match for their advanced technology. Cities fell within hours, and panic spread like wildfire. I knew I had to fix what I'd started.
The Resistance
I called Ann and my best friend, Nova, and told them everything. At first, they didn't believe me. But when I showed them the book and demonstrated its power, they realized the truth. Together, we formed a plan to stop the Vortan.
We discovered that the book's power had limits. It couldn't create something from nothing—it could only manipulate existing possibilities. And every time we used it, there were unintended consequences.
The Final Battle
We lured the Vortan to the wormhole, hoping to trap them. But they were too powerful. In a desperate move, Ann hijacked one of their ships and steered it into the portal, sacrificing herself to close it.
As the wormhole collapsed, I felt a surge of energy. The book's final page glowed, and I wrote: "Ann must survive."
Miraculously, she reappeared, injured but alive. The Vortan were gone, and the portal was sealed.
Epilogue
The world returned to normal, but nothing was the same. We hid the Book of Reality, knowing its power was too dangerous to use again. Ann, Nova, and I vowed to protect it, no matter the cost.
But deep down, I knew this wasn't the end. The Vortan would return, and when they did, we'd be ready.
This is the story of how I discovered the Book of Reality and the consequences of wielding its power. It's a reminder that even the smallest actions can have enormous consequences—and that some secrets are better left buried.
