Chapter 3 – Finding the Loophole

James didn't sleep that night. He sat in his dimly lit apartment, staring at the trading screen, watching the profits that would soon vanish.

$47.3 million. Gone the moment the day reset.

His mind raced. There had to be a way to keep his wealth. Something that could exist outside the loop.

Cash wouldn't work—he had tried withdrawing some money in the afternoon, but he knew that anything physical would reset too. Bank transfers, crypto, assets—all pointless.

Then, an idea struck him.

People.

He couldn't take money with him, but what if he gave it to someone else? Someone outside the loop. If he could get a trusted person to hold onto the funds, then when the day reset, they'd still have the money… right?

It was a long shot, but it was worth trying.

6:30 AM.

The alarm blared. James sat up instantly, his heart pounding.

Everything was back to square one. The same unread notifications, the same coffee smell, the same exact market conditions.

But this time, he had a plan.

Instead of heading straight to his office, he took a detour. He needed a test subject.

He thought about his friends. Most of them were in finance, but he needed someone greedy, reckless—someone who wouldn't question free money.

That's when he thought of Kevin.

Kevin was an old friend, a gambler at heart, and terrible with money. If James walked up to him and handed him a million dollars, Kevin wouldn't ask questions—he'd just spend it.

James smirked. Perfect.

By noon, James had already repeated his perfect trades, hitting the same oil futures and tech shorts. The moment his balance crossed $40 million, he wired $1 million to Kevin's account.

Kevin, of course, was ecstatic.

"Bro, are you serious?!" Kevin shouted over the phone. "A million dollars? For what?"

"Think of it as an investment," James said calmly. "Just withdraw it and spend it. Go wild."

Kevin didn't need to be told twice.

By evening, James tracked Kevin's activity. The idiot had already bought a new Rolex, an expensive suit, and was renting out a VIP section in a club.

James took a deep breath.

If Kevin still had everything tomorrow, James had just broken the loop's biggest limitation.

6:30 AM.

James' eyes snapped open.

His heart pounded as he grabbed his phone, his hands trembling.

He scrolled through his messages—nothing from Kevin.

He opened his banking app—no wire transfer.

Everything was exactly as it had been.

Kevin didn't remember. The money didn't exist.

It was as if James had never made the transaction.

His stomach dropped.

The loop was absolute. No matter what he did, the world would always reset to this exact morning.

He wasn't just rich for a day—he was stuck in a cycle where nothing lasted.

James clenched his fists.

If he couldn't take money with him… he'd have to find another way to win.
