Chapter 01

THIS IS HOW IT ALL STARTED

With a sudden rush, Cash's life took a drastic turn. Riding her bicycle, she lost control and crashed into a group of girls returning from school.

"Who the heck is this?" one girl shouted. "Why did you run into us, you ugly beast? Do you know who I am?"

The second girl splashed dirty water on Cash's face. "Why did you bother us?" Cash retorted. "Ask your mama, you dirty, ugly girl!"

The girls burst into laughter. "I'm not ugly!" Cash protested. "I'm the most beautiful girl in the whole world!"

A third girl handed Cash a mirror. "Look at yourself and see how ugly you are!" she taunted. "You look like a witch from Harry Potter!"

The group of girls began singing, "She's so ugly, like a monkey!" Their laughter and teasing reduced Cash to tears.

Just as the girls were about to continue their torment, a handsome white guy with long hair appeared, shouting and threatening them. "Leave her alone and never come back!" he warned.

The girls fled, leaving Cash alone with her rescuer. "Thank you," Cash began, but before she could finish, the guy vanished into thin air.

Cash was shocked and devastated. "Please come back!" she pleaded, but he was gone
