Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Takumi took Klee to their destination.

Looking at the shoal and the rocks in front of them, Takumi spoke directly to Klee:

"Klee, the reason I invited you here is to have you blow up this place thoroughly."

Takumi pointed to the area in front of them and explained to Klee.

After obtaining the Geo Vision, he became more aware of the terrain here.

Blasting this area wouldn't be difficult for Klee.

Most importantly, beneath the surface was an underground river.

This discovery surprised Takumi the most.

In other words, if they blasted the stone layer above, the area would reach the required depth.

Transforming it into a dock would be a simple task.

"You want Klee to blow this up?"

"Is that really okay?"

"If Klee blows it up, will she be locked up again?"

Klee stared blankly at Takumi.

The area was huge, and there were plenty of fish.

Could she really bomb it freely?

Seeing Klee's excitement, Takumi chuckled.

"Yes, but you have to follow my plan."

"The explosion has to happen below."

"Can you manage that?"

"Can Klee's bombs explode underwater?"

The deepest part of the area was about two meters underwater.

That shouldn't be difficult for Klee.

Hearing this, Klee nodded eagerly.

"No problem, Brother Takumi."

"Klee can handle it."

"I'll just increase the bomb's power."

"I even have waterproof bombs!"

"Just throw them into the river, and they'll explode."

"But Brother Takumi, what happens to the stones afterward?"

"Will people have to dive down and remove them?"

The explosion itself wasn't an issue.

But what about the debris left behind?

How would they handle that?

Hearing Klee's concern, Takumi laughed.

"Don't worry, Klee, just blow it up."

"There's an underground river beneath."

"All you need to do is blast the rock formations above the underground river."

"The debris will fall in, and you won't have to worry about it."

If they fully blasted the top layer, the area would sink by several meters.

The resulting chain reaction would significantly alter the water level.

The increased depth would make it easy to construct a dock.

Hearing Takumi's explanation, Klee's eyes widened with excitement.

"Klee understands!"

"I'll go back and prepare the bombs!"

"I'll make an oversized bouncy bomb!"

Klee's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm.

So she could really do this?

That meant she had nothing to worry about.

Takumi nodded.

"I'll show you how everything works first."

"I'll also show you exactly where to place the bombs."

"We need precision."

"When the time comes, I'll have you drill a hole underneath."

"That way, the explosions will be more effective."

Hearing this, Klee quickly nodded.

"Okay, Brother Takumi!"

Seeing her excitement, Takumi wasted no time and found a bamboo raft.

He then took Klee on a tour of the area.

Takumi carefully explained where the explosions should occur.

After all, he wanted a dock, not for Klee to accidentally blow up the bridge leading to Mingyun Village.

That would be a disaster.

Thus, Takumi had to plan everything for Klee from the very beginning.

As Klee explored the area, she quickly grasped the plan.

The spots Takumi pointed out were the ones she was allowed to bomb.

She got it.

This area was huge, and she could have a blast—literally!

Klee was thrilled.

Once Klee understood everything, Takumi took her back to Wangshu Inn.

Upon arrival, Klee rushed into the room Keqing had arranged for her to begin preparing.

Meanwhile, Takumi returned to his own work.

He continued drawing up his blueprints.

For now, Klee was occupied.

Next, Takumi needed to focus on repairing the bridge to Mingyun Village.

That route was essential.

There were plenty of resources in the snowy mountains, and Takumi wouldn't let them go to waste.

Takumi didn't belong to either Mondstadt or Liyue.

Technically, both nations had access to the snowy mountains for mining.

When the bridge was repaired, many people would be able to travel through the mountains to Mondstadt.

This alternative route had to be established.

Using an existing model, Takumi began designing the Snowy Mountain bridge.

He envisioned a four-lane bridge constructed from steel and concrete.

Takumi planned to complete it in one go.

After all, vehicles were bound to be developed eventually.

Teyvat needed an alchemy-based technology system.

The advancements made by Khaenri'ah served as a valuable reference.

However, their innovations had been used for war, leading to their downfall.

Takumi wouldn't make the same mistake.

Perhaps he could call Albedo over sometime.

Using a Chaos Furnace as the core, he could develop vehicles.

These possibilities excited him.

As long as elemental energy was available, it could power endless inventions.

Chaos Hearths, Chaos Circuits, Chaos Devices—these were all viable energy sources.

Paired with a Chaos Mechanism as a power source, manufacturing a car wouldn't be an issue.

Takumi's mind overflowed with ideas.

Beyond vehicles, he even considered using Planktonic Cores to construct aircraft.

A fully charged energy core could generate substantial lift.

Additionally, golem-like work robots could be created using Teyvat's alchemy.

No one had integrated these concepts yet.

Perhaps Sumeru was working on it, but they were still in the developmental phase.

After all, they had only recently entered the steam age.

Liyue certainly hadn't reached that stage yet.

Takumi's goal was to bring everything together.

To build a new technological system.

Given enough time, he could even construct airplanes.

With Teyvat's alchemy, anything was possible.

The resources were abundant.

Moreover, Takumi was actively studying alchemy.

Once he fully understood it, he could use the Herrscher of Reason's power to construct anything instantly.

At that point, Takumi himself would become a one-man factory.

Maybe not yet, but someday.

Takumi believed in preparing for the future.

However, for now, his priority was building the city.

Once that was done, he could start turning his ideas into reality.
