Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Jasmine Tea~

Dooooo!

The Fire Nation ship let a loud noise out. As the vessel sailed towards the water tribe at an alarming rate. The boat was fast, going full power. They will reach the water tribe in an hour at that rate.

On the deck of the massive warship was Zuko. He had a serious face, his ponytail wagging as the wind licked his face. His burned eye twitched ever so as he unconsciously touched it.

"Avatar... I will get back my honour! No matter the cost." Iroh sighed as he watched the back of his nephew. Iroh poured some jasmine tea into a cup, and he smiled as the scent of the tea was welcomed into his nose.

"Prince Zuko. Why don't you have some nice and warm Jasmine Tea? Tea is great for calming down, and it will also-"

"Knock it down, Uncle! It is not a tea that I need right now. It is the avatar captured and brought in front of my father!" Zuko interrupted the peaceful man as he turned around with a harsh tone.

Iroh sighed as he looked back at his game. His nephew was too stubborn to be negotiated with. Unless he gets the avatar, then Zuko will not stop at anything.

"Sometimes, Prince Zuko. It is better to see what is in front than what's far from you." Zuko looked back in confusion. What was his uncle trying to say now?

Iroh looked at Zuko''s back with sadness. He knew his brother, the Fire Lord, would never care about Zuko's honour. That man does not love his family.

Sigh~

"I hope the avatar didn't master the four elements... Or I and my nephew might die. Hahahaha~" Iroh laughed while his attention went to Jasmine Tea and his game. Zuko narrowed his eyes as he heard his uncle's words.

If the avatar mastered the four elements?... No, he will do it even so. He will overpower the avatar. She is a coward who hid for a century. There is no way a person like that is stronger than him!

Zuko narrowed his eyes as he looked into the distance.

Kanuk looked back at Zuko with a sneer on the corner of his mouth. He is dreaming if he thinks that he will get the avatar. Not before he copied her ability to wield all four elements.

"Kanuk? Are you p[lying or what? You look like a tree!" Kanuk was brought out from his daze as he saw Fei look in front of his face, her face closer than it should be.

"yeah. I just thought about something. I need to get back to the food. You all can continue playing." Kanuk smiled as he turned around and walked back to his igloo. Inside was the fish soup he was cooking.

Carefully taking the food down from the fire, Kanuk took a bowl and stirred it. He drooled at the smell before he suddenly froze as he remembered something.

"Air nomads don't eat meat... Is Fei like those girls on earth?... No, I must be hallucinating." Kanuk sighed before he started eating the bowl he prepared. He will not waste it since he can eat it.

"But we don't really have vegetables, or nuts or fruits for that matter... So what should I give her?" Kanuk suddenly felt a light bulb light up as he thought about something.

"We should have some crowberries and lingonberries left. We don't really eat it anyway." Kanuk took out a handful of crowberries and a handful of lingonberries. They grew in the cold tundras as they have cold resistance.

The skin of the berries is crisp, and it bursts apart to release a bunch of sweet and sour juices. It isn't the best berries ever. The crispy skin makes it the best.

"I hope she likes it. If not, she might not have anything to eat." Kanuk took a bowl and put the berries inside it. He walked out of the igloo and walked towards Fei.

"Hey, Fei. I brought you some berries since I remember Air Nomads don't eat meat." Fei looked at Kanuk in surprise before a smile broke onto her face. She jumped up as an air ball was created under her.

Swoosh!

She rode in the air towards Kanuk at a high speed, and just as she was about to crash into him, she stopped herself with a gust of wind. Kanuk handed her the bowl.

"Thanks! I am hungry!" Fei looked at Kanuk, and she smiled at seeing how careful he was with her food choice. She had never seen anyone think this much about food since everyone ate berries and nuts in the air temple.

'He is so careful to make me comfortable... He is cute!' Fei thought as she started eating the berries. Katara came over with a questioning look on her face.

"How did you know air nomads only eat berries?" Katara asked Kanuk, who started to sweat at the question. He did not think Katara was going to ask him about this.

"Uh... I knew it by reading the scrolls." Kanuk said as he remembered some scrolls teaching common sense.

"Aha. The scrolls, sure." Katara lifted her brow in confusion before she accepted Kanuk's response.

'Why did I never see that scroll?... Whatever.' Katara thought as she scratched the side of her head. Kanuk let out a sigh at seeing Katara accept his lame excuse.

Just then, from the outside the tribe, on the waters near. A giant ship sped up before sliding onto the ice. The Fire Nation ship continued sliding until it was just ahead of the tribe.

"ha! I knew it! She was a spy for the Fire Nation! What did I say, huh?" Fei got a confused look as she looked back at the Fire Nation. Why is everyone scared of the Fire Nation?

Sokka walked forward with an angry look. Kanuk sighed as he looked at the Fire Nation vessel. He was not worried. The only trouble on the ship was Iroh, not anyone else.

'That beast. Even with my Chi sense only being at level 3, I can tell he is stronger than me.' Kanuk felt his lips twitch as he looked at the ship. He can feel a Chi. It was smaller than his by a lot but more condensed.

Twhip!

The door to the ship suddenly opened, and it let down a stairway to the ground. From it came 3 Fire Nation soldiers. With Zuko at the front, wearing armour.

Kanuk walked to the front of the 3 Fire Nation soldiers. Katara followed him along with Fei and Sokka. They stood in front of the 3 and waited for them to talk.

"Hand over the avatar, now!" Fei opened her eyes wide as she heard that. She can't believe they came for her. Did she really put the tribe in danger, like Sokka said?

"We don't know where the avatar is. You might be lost, my friend." Kanuk smiled as he looked at Zuko. He was jesting, but he was also serious about it.

He does not want to fight with Iroh.

"Liar! Go and search every single tent. If you find a normal woman with different clothes compared to the tribe. Take her!" Zuko angrily ordered as he pointed his hand forward. The 2 soldiers behind him did just that.

They tried.

Crack!

The 2 soldiers were frozen into solid ice before they could even step forward. At almost Mach 1, Kanuk vanished and appeared behind Zuko, who could barely react.

"Wha!-" Zuko turned around, but he was punched across the neck in an instant, his body going limp as he caught him. Instantly, Kanuk felt the presence of Iroh.

"here. You can have these people. Also, there is no reason to come back as we will be leaving the tribe, along with the avatar." Iroh smiled as the soldiers were unfrozen, and Zuko was thrown into his arms.

"Thank you. I am sorry for the disturbance we caused. We will be going now." Iroh smiled as he looked at Kanuk. He can feel the enormous amount of Chi in his body.

It was 2 times bigger than his own. This is almost an impossible thing to do unless you are the avatar or you are blessed by the spirits. It seems like the kid is the second.

"Come. Let's get going." Iroh called out to the unfrozen soldiers, who nodded as they ran behind him."

Kanuk watched them leave with a smile.

Leave a power stone!

Also, guys, the power scaling of the avatar is ambiguous, but in my opinion. People like Iroh and Ozai have city-level attack potency in the base.

Small Mountain at Sozin's Comet.

The speed of Iroh and Ozai is likely hypersonic (Mach 5 - 10) in base. With it being Mach 10 - 20 in Sozin's comet. Iroh is weaker in both scalings than Ozai.

What do you guys think about my scale?
