Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: "The Demon Queen Has… WHAT Responsibilities?!"

1. Welcome to Chaos

Lina Everheart woke up with a massive headache. The last thing she remembered was falling asleep in her tiny apartment after a long night of reading fantasy novels. But now… now she was sitting on something soft and warm. Too warm. Almost like a throne—Wait. Why was she on a throne?!Her eyes snapped open. What she saw made her freeze. The room was massive, decorated in dark obsidian stone, with torches flickering with eerie blue flames. Red banners embroidered with strange symbols hung from the towering walls. And standing in front of her—kneeling, actually—was a group of terrifying figures.A giant, armored warrior with a burning sword. A tall woman with chilling ice-blue eyes and a regal posture. A massive beast-like man with tusks and glowing red tattoos. A tiny goblin-like creature wearing oversized goggles and clutching a smoking flask. And every single one of them was bowing to her."Your Majesty," the armored warrior spoke first. His voice was deep, full of reverence. "Welcome back, our great and mighty Demon Queen Lilith!"Lina blinked. Then she blinked again. Then, she pointed at herself. "Uh… who?"The group of powerful demons exchanged confused glances."…You, Your Majesty." The ice-blue-eyed woman, dressed in an elegant robe, sipped from a delicate teacup as she spoke. "You are our ruler, the Demon Queen, the great leader of our people."Lina stared at them, then at her own reflection in a nearby ornate mirror.Long, silver hair. Glowing red eyes. A regal black and gold dress she had never seen before. And… were those horns on her head?!Oh. Oh no.She had somehow woken up inside the body of the infamous Demon Queen.

2. Immediate Panic Mode

Lina jumped up from the throne, hands raised. "Wait, wait, wait! This has to be a mistake! I'm not a queen! I'm just an ordinary girl!"The armored warrior—who was starting to look suspiciously like a battle-crazed maniac—frowned. "Is this some kind of test, my Queen?""No, this is me telling the truth!" Lina insisted. "I don't know how I got here, I don't know who you people are, and I definitely don't want to rule demons!"The massive beast-like warrior, who looked like he could crush a mountain with his bare hands, suddenly gasped. "She has amnesia?!"The goblin scientist adjusted his goggles, eyes wide. "That explains everything! A great magical disturbance must have caused memory loss! Fascinating!"Lina opened her mouth to correct them, but before she could, the battle-crazed maniac suddenly slammed his giant sword into the ground."If the Queen has forgotten her mission," he said, his voice shaking with barely-contained excitement, "then we must remind her!"Lina gulped. "…Remind me of what exactly?"The warrior's eyes burned with battle hunger. "To lead us into war against the humans and destroy their kingdom!"Lina nearly choked.

3. Time to Escape Before I Die

"Hold up! HOLD UP! Who said anything about war?!" Lina waved her hands frantically. The battle maniac looked even more confused. "But… it's our destiny."The ice mage took another sip of her tea. "It is tradition. The Demon Queen always wages war against humanity.""WELL, NOT THIS TIME!" Lina snapped. "I—uh, I mean, I command that we not attack the humans!"Silence. The demons stared at her as if she had just declared she wanted to turn the demon castle into a bakery. The battle maniac's jaw dropped. The goblin scientist dropped his potion. Even the beast warrior—who had been scratching his belly—froze mid-scratch.Finally, the ice mage spoke again, setting down her teacup with a faint clink."…Interesting."The armored warrior clenched his fists. "But why?! Why should we not go to war?!"Lina racked her brain for an answer that wouldn't get her immediately executed."Uh…" She cleared her throat and lifted her chin, trying to look as queenly as possible. "Because… um… I have a NEW plan!"The goblin's eyes sparkled. "A new plan?!""Yes! A long-term strategy!" Lina continued, trying to sound confident. "Instead of fighting humans right now, we should… um… focus on strengthening our forces! Yes, yes! We must train harder, develop better weapons, and—uh—build an economic empire!"More silence. Then, the battle maniac slowly nodded. "I see. A war of patience. A cunning strategy."The ice mage smiled faintly. "You truly are full of surprises, Your Majesty."The goblin scientist clapped his hands together. "Ohh! This means I can create more dangerous inventions!"The beast warrior simply grunted. "As long as there's food, I don't care."Lina let out a quiet sigh of relief. Somehow… they believed her.Now she just had to figure out how to escape before they realized their queen was actually a confused girl from another world.

4. Meanwhile, in the Human Kingdom…

Far away, in the Royal Capital, a young man stood before a grand council of knights.Dressed in shining silver armor, with golden hair and piercing blue eyes, he carried a legendary sword at his side.He was Leon Brightblade, the Hero chosen by prophecy."The Demon Queen has returned," the King declared. "It is time for you to fulfill your duty."Leon bowed. "I will not fail. The Demon Queen must be slain."And so, the strongest Hero in the world set off on his journey……Completely unaware that his greatest enemy was just a confused girl trying to avoid paperwork.
