A sharp pain pulse through his head. His vision blurred as he force his eyes open, greeted by the vast blue sky and the metallic scent of blood. A chilling realization struck him, his body was drenched in blood and he couldn't feel his hand or leg.
A crowd gathered, murmuring among themselves. In that moment, he understood that death has come to claim him.
"So this is it... my time to leave this world huh?" he muttered to himself.
As his eyes slowly closed, a brilliant light engulf his astral soul. Suddenly, a notification sound appear before him.
[Welcome, PLAYER. Your new adventure awaits]
His soul was pulled away, transferred into another body in a completely different world.
"Where... am I?" he muttered, his voice hoarse and dry.
Confusion clouded his mind. He had no idea where was or why his body felt different.
Suddenly, a sharp chime rang in his ears. His heart pounded as a holographic window flickered into view, displaying personal biodata.
[NAME : Caelum Veridan]
[CLASS: Architect]
"You finally awake, sleepy princess." a playful voice teased.
Caelum turned to see a red haired girl grinning at him. He regarded her with cautions.
Sensing his unease, she smile reassuringly. "Relax. I saved you from hyena attack in the ruined ruins."
But Caelum remained silent. He knew nothing about this place because this body wasn't his.
The girl led him through the village, bringing him to her father, the village chief. Caelum followed quietly, keeping him composure.
When they arrived at chief's house, the girl called out. Moments later, a towering man with muscular build stepped out.
Yet, despite his intimidating aura, the chief greeted Caelum with warmth.
Caelum was taken aback by his kindness
They exchanged introductions. The girl's name was Elara Fioren and her father, Eldric Fioren, was the village chief.
Eldric explained the village's dire situation. Their home was on the brink of collapse due to relentless monster raids from the nearby jungle.
He and Elara had been fighting to protect the village but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't safeguard everyone.
Caelum glanced around at the damage buildings. A pang of sympathy hit him. The village was barely holding on.
Just then, a thought surfaced his class.
He had been assigned Architect but how could he use its abilities?
A familiar chime echoed in his mind.
[New Quest Assigned : Save the village]
Eldric remained deep in thought, searching for a solution. Across from him, Elara sat in silence, staring at the ground, looking utterly defeated.
Caelum took a deep breath and stepped forward.
"Sir Eldric, let me help your village" he said with confidence. "I know the solution to your problem."
Eldric's eyes narrowed in surprise. He wasn't sure if he could trust an outsider.
However, Elara's face lit up with excitement. "Father, we should give him a chance!" She urged.
Eldric fell silent, contemplating the proposal. After a few long moments, he finally nodded.
"Alright, you may help the village but under one condition," he said firmly.
"My daughter will stay by your side at all times to keep an eye on you"
Caelum met his gaze and nodded.
A new journey had begun.
