As a newly registered adventurer, Kain received his first mission—escorting a merchant caravan through the dangerous Darkwood Forest. Though it was classified as a mid-level quest, for Kain, it was an opportunity to explore the world and test his powers.
The caravan leader, a burly man named Gregor, eyed Kain with skepticism. "You sure about this, kid? Darkwood ain't for the faint of heart."
Kain smirked. "I'll be fine."
The journey began smoothly, but as they ventured deeper, the forest grew ominous. Suddenly, the ground trembled, and a pack of Shadow Wolves emerged from the darkness. The merchants panicked.
Gregor cursed. "Damn it! We're surrounded!"
Kain calmly stepped forward, summoning Divine Fire into his palm. "I'll handle this."
With a wave of his hand, torrents of golden flames erupted, engulfing the wolves in an instant. As the fire faded, only ashes remained.
The merchants stared in stunned silence.
