Chapter 1 - Act I: The Fairy Tale

EPISODE 1

Alethea, a successful Account Manager at a local bank in her late 20s, had been struggling to find meaningful relationships. She had already decided that relationships were not made for someone like her.

On Monday, during lunchtime, she sat with her friend Ethan, who had been married for 12 years. "When will you stop lashing out at every man who tries to ask you out?" Ethan asked.

"Until they get the message that I'm done with dating," Alethea replied, "perhaps I should put a poster on my back saying 'I'm not single' – even though I am single, but not looking."

Before she could finish talking, she was interrupted by a client. "Hi, ladies," he said. "I'm looking for assistance with my bank account. There are things I don't understand."

"Alethea will assist you in a bit," Ethan said. "You can enter office 308 and make yourself at home. She'll be with you in a bit."

Alethea whispered to Ethan, "Why didn't you assist him yourself? Did you see the way he looked at me? That was creepy."

Ethan replied, "Anyways, our time is up. See you later. He's kind of cute, though."

Alethea rushed to assist the client, anxious not to keep him waiting. "I'm so sorry, sir. I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long. I don't want to get in trouble with Mr. Griffith; he's very strict."

"Give me your name, sir, and your ID," Alethea requested.

The client replied, "Kieran Morgan," and handed her his ID.

As Alethea entered the client's details into the computer, he started to compliment her dress. "Ma'am, that dress looks absolutely amazing. It's like it was made especially for you."

Alethea smiled, "There we go, I'm in." She was amazed by the amount of money she saw in the client's account. "Oh my God, I see lots of zeros here, sir. What did you say was the problem?"

Kieran replied, "My money has been disappearing from my account for months."

Alethea examined the account and found the issue. "Oh, yes, I see a subscription here. It seems like someone subscribed to multiple Netflix accounts."

Kieran explained, "No one knows my details, plus I live alone, so I probably pressed something without being cautious. Maybe I'll have myself to blame for that."

Alethea canceled the subscription and assured Kieran that the issue was resolved.

As they wrapped up, Kieran asked, "What are you doing after work today?"

Alethea replied, "Nothing much."

Kieran suggested, "I was thinking of taking you out. There's this place that makes amazing food, and it's quite relaxing. All that stuff, I'm sure you could use some time off after facing that old Griffith for 8 hours."

Alethea was completely charmed. "I'll knock off at 5."

Kieran smiled. "I'll come and pick you up then."

After Kieran left, Alethea began to question herself: Would history repeat itself, or would she finally find happiness?

Episode 2

Now it was time for Alethea to knock off from work. After locking her office, she walked with Ethan, who was telling her how Kieran had swept her off her feet. Before she could finish, Kieran appeared, holding beautiful flowers and smiling. Ethan was left speechless, and Alethea couldn't hold back her happiness.

"Have a great date," Ethan said, with tears in her eyes.

Kieran knelt down on one knee and handed the flowers to Alethea, who was left speechless and unsure of how to react.

"Hand over your bag, Miss," Kieran said.

They walked to where his car was parked. "OMG, a Rolls-Royce!" Alethea exclaimed.

Kieran smiled. "It's my fourth Rolls-Royce."

Kieran opened the door for Alethea and adjusted her seat to make her as comfortable as possible.

"Thank you," Alethea said, blushing. The two made eye contact for a few seconds before they started driving to the most exclusive restaurant in town.

When they arrived, Alethea looked like she was having a hard time deciding what to order from the menu. Kieran noticed her struggle and pulled his chair closer to hers, holding her hand to calm her down and assist her.

They had a wonderful night, and Kieran got down on one knee again, this time holding a ring and proposing marriage to Alethea. She said yes, and they shared a romantic moment.

However, Alethea refused Kieran's offer to spend the night at his place. After the date, Kieran drove Alethea home.

Once Alethea was home alone, she couldn't help but think if she was rushing into things. Then she remembered that time was not on her side, considering her age. She ignored her doubts and called her mother.

As soon as her mother answered the call, Alethea couldn't hide her happiness. "Jennifer, I'm engaged! Soon to be Mrs. Morgan!" Alethea exclaimed.

Alethea's mother responded, "Why did you call me by my first name?"

Alethea apologized, "Sorry, Mother. I guess the excitement got to me. I finally found my soulmate."

Alethea's mother was amazed. "So, you've been in a relationship without telling me? You always tell me when you have someone in your life."

Alethea explained, "No, Mother, everything just happened so fast. He proposed on our first date, which was today, the day we met."

Alethea's mother was concerned but didn't want to ruin Alethea's happiness. "Congratulations, my only daughter. We'll talk more tomorrow."

Alethea then remembered that she hadn't told her best friend Ethan or other close friends and family members about her engagement. She called Ethan and broke the news to her, and Ethan was also concerned but didn't say anything suspicious.

Alethea also called her childhood friend Molly, who didn't understand but didn't say anything either. Then Alethea went to sleep.

The whirlwind romance continued for months, while Alethea's friends and family were concerned but didn't want to break Alethea's bubble, since she had fallen deeply in love with Kieran.

They later got married, and Alethea moved in with Kieran. They were living happily ever after.
