A crowd of people was enjoying a sunny and refreshing day at a famous beach in the region when, suddenly, small tremors began to be felt on land. The intensity of the tremors increased every second. Fearful faces emerged naturally, and happy expressions were quickly replaced by fear and panic. Soon, people discovered the cause of the tremors when they looked toward the sea: a gigantic wave was approaching the coast at incredible speed. Desperation took over immediately, flooding the environment with fear.
Within seconds, countless people began running toward the city center, which wasn't far from the beach. Thousands of terrified people ran aimlessly, trying to save their lives. Drivers, motorcyclists, and pedestrians in the area were caught off guard by the fleeing crowd. Shortly after, everyone saw the reason for the chaos: a massive tsunami was approaching. But now, it was already too late to escape or seek help. The force of the asteroid's impact had been so great that the tsunami reached the shore at an absurd speed. The enormous wall of water was less than seven kilometers away and would hit the coast in less than eight minutes.
Sirens and deafening noises could already be heard echoing through the city, which once shone with the splendor of a wealthy and developing metropolis. Chaos and panic were all that could be seen. But time had run out. The tsunami arrived, swallowing everything in its path with its disproportionate height of over a hundred meters. The strip of sand that lined the coast disappeared, and any living beings remaining on the beach were killed instantly by the impact. The massive body of water continued its devastation, destroying everything and everyone in its way.
"Help—" were the last words of a man before he was swallowed by the waters. In less than an hour, the once-beautiful City Y was simply wiped from existence. It all happened so fast that it seemed as if it had never existed. Now, it lives only on maps and in history books, recorded as: "The first city destroyed by the asteroid."
