Anna lounged on her couch, reading through the comments and trending topics while chewing an apple. The satisfaction she got from her little drama made her feel really excited.
Now Ava was painted as the third woman trying to ruin her marriage, even though she was seen unfit to be Michael's wife, the fact that they were truly married left people without a choice.
She was equally prepared to receive any harsh treatment from Michael and she had been waiting for him to appear but he didn't show up all night which got Anna wondering what he was .
Three days passed but Michael didn't show up and she thought maybe he had decided to let it go. She spent her days burying herself in work and eating healthy in order to recover.
Not knowing that was just a calm before the storm, in the evening while she was flipping through the fashion magazine of the Eclipse show, Michael barged into her room with a smirk and Anna placed the magazine down bracing herself for the worst.
But to her surprise, Michael didn't hit her, rather he threw a stack of documents and pictures at her face. Before she could process anything, Michael gripped her chin tightly and spoke in a low voice.
"Since you love being in the spotlight, I have helped you with something, a bag of cocaine has been found in your little company and right now, your little employees are at the police station being interrogated."
His words sent a jolt through Ava's body and her eyes widened.
"No, no, no that's not possible, how could such a thing get in, we don't deal in drugs" she whispered anxiously and Michael burst into laughter before releasing his grip on her.
"Your little brain hasn't figured it out yet?? I thought you were smart when you came up with such a perfect plan to embarrass me at the show, of course I was the one who got the drugs into your company"
His words made Anna flare up with anger and she yelled, "how could you do such a thing, if you want to pay back, no need to drag my employees into this "
"I actually wanted to hit you but then your Sister came up with such a brilliant plan that I had to go along with it"
"I am not interested in your little games, just tell me which police station they are being held in," Anna said worriedly.
Just the thought of Julia and the others getting dragged into her mess, made her feel guilty and worried.
"Even if you go, there's nothing you'll be able to do, it's a case involving drugs and you can't talk it out with them"
Michael replied and Anna sighed wearily. With tears in her eyes she gripped Michael's hands pleading with him to help her out. Seeing Anna at her feet looking really disheveled made Michael smile in satisfaction and he kicked her hard.
"I can but on a condition" Michael replied and Anna quickly stood up.
"I'll do anything, anything " Anna replied and Michael smirked.
He made a phone call and soughted everything out.
"It's done " he informed and Anna sighed in relief. Without wasting time, she dashed out to meet them while Calling Julia to find out where they were.
After hearing Julia's response, she made her way to her company, her heart thumping loudly in her chest.
Finally, she arrived and hurriedly made her way in, to find Julia and the others packing out.
"Why are you packing out, is it because of the police case?? It's soughted out now" Anna explained and everyone stared at her sadly.
Julia approached her and held her hand. "We weren't involved in any police case Anna"
"Huh but Michael clearly said so, did Michael trick her"
Seeing the confusion in her eyes, Julia calmly explained.
"We weren't involved in any police case Anna, we were working happily when suddenly a group of men with guns barged in and threatened us to quit else we would lose our families "
Tears welled up in Julia's eyes as she recounted the horrific scene. The memory of the Cold gun being pointed at her forehead was still vivid in her mind.
Anna pulled her into a tight hug. She understood everything now. Michael threatened them then came to deceive her just to make her feel bad.
He knew the company was what she loved most, so he got it shut.
After bidding goodbye to the group, who left with tears in their eyes, Anna slumped to the floor, her heart breaking.
Her work was all she had but now it's all gone, all thanks to Michael.
What would she do now, how would she live her life, she didn't know.
She was lost in her thoughts when she heard a loud crash outside and she scrambled to her feet to find out what was going on.
Outside, Michael leaned against his car with Ava in her arms while his men broke down the building.
"Nooo, stop, please stop" Anna screamed as she rushed to stop the men but they simply pushed her away, leaving her in tears.
Anna clenched her fists, her eyes blazing with hatred and she lunged on Ava.
"How could you do this to me, I am your sister Ava, I raised you alone, I denied myself So many things just to let you have it, how could you do this to me, this work was all I heard"
At this point, her emotions got the better of her and she cried loudly while pointing out her grievances.
With her thin body and pale face, she looked utterly pitiful in such a state. The guards couldn't help but glance at her, hoping their boss could have pity on her
Michael stared at Anna but he felt nothing like pity. With Ava in his arms, he didn't care about Anna.
